If your primary care physician is still telling you to wear a mask to protect against COVID these days, you’re probably better off getting healthcare advice from a witch doctor with a bone through his nose. There is no medical or scientific literature proving that masks protect against a respiratory virus. There never was.
But that doesn’t stop the Joe Biden regime from still wanting to boss everyone around. Biden has the Justice Department suing to overturn last year’s court ruling that declared mask mandates to be unconstitutional and dumb.
Last April, Trump-appointed Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle ruled that Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s mask mandate on public forms of transportation, which Biden ordered implemented, was a violation of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). The DOT didn’t go through the public comment period before just violating everyone’s rights with a mask mandate.
They just decided to boss everyone around, with no public input or scientific basis. Liberals start to have trouble breathing after a few minutes if they’re not banning something or bossing us all around.
Anyway, the Biden regime kind of stood down for a few months on the whole communist face thong thing after that court order. But in January, they sued and are not trying to get the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn Judge Mizelle’s ruling. Someone should have warned Team Biden that the 11th Circuit now has a majority of six Trump-appointed judges, plus one Bush-appointed judge who isn’t terrible. The three Obama-appointed justices on the court are pretty miserable these days.
Anyway, one of Joe Biden’s personal gestapo lawyers at the Department of Justice actually stood up and made this argument in front of the Appeals Court:
“[The mask mandate is necessary] to prevent the possible infections and deaths that could result if people didn’t do the simple thing of just putting on a mask while they were traveling.”
Everything in that sentence from the Biden regime lawyer is a complete and total lie. Masks do not prevent coronavirus infections. Plus, at this point, you’re far more likely to be killed by a COVID vaccine than you are by the coronavirus itself.
When multiple states sued to stop the mask mandate, Judge Mizelle agreed that the rule was capricious and arbitrary. The Biden regime, the CDC and the Department of Transportation didn’t even provide a good reason for it.
For one thing, they made no differentiation in what type of mask a person should wear. You could wear one of those cheap-o paper masks from the dollar store, a more expensive N-95 mask from the paint section at Home Depot, or a full hazmat suit. Whatever. You could wear a pair of underpants on your head if you wanted to, which some people did just to point out the absurdity of the whole thing.
And here’s the deal. None of those things, other than a full hazmat suit which is kind of impractical, will actually protect you from coronavirus. The dollar tree paper mask won’t protect you. The N-95 mask won’t protect you. Your Fruit-of-the-Looms won’t protect you. It turns out that viruses are kind of little and slip through the holes of any of those types of masks.
That’s what all the scientific literature now says. The Cochrane Review just published a study testing whether any of the main types of masks actually work against any respiratory viruses, up to and including the Chinese coronavirus (from Chi-nah).
Let me just lift a couple of quotes from pages 22 and 23 of this study, so you don’t need to bore yourself by reading the whole thing:
“Wearing a medical/surgical mask probably makes little or no difference compared to not wearing a mask.”
Oh, and how about this quote:
“The use of a N95/P2 respirator compared to a medical/surgical mask probably makes little or no difference.”
Basically, you could wear around a freakin’ gas mask and it won’t protect you from a respiratory virus, including COVID-19.
There is no scientific evidence to justify reinstating mask mandates – ever. They don’t save lives or protect against infection. All they do is allow scared liberals to virtue signal about how big of a communist they are.
The good news is that all of those Trump-appointed judges are still paying dividends, and the 11th Circuit is highly unlikely to rule in Biden’s favor.

Biden has no power to force anyone to do anything. Masks don’t work and they are the reason there is a respiratory problems among children and adults. Amazing to me! I wonder if any of the elites have thought about this re: Covid, vaccines, and all the attendant stuff. It is now becoming very clear that the vaccines are killing some people, usually young and NOT preventing people from getting Covid. Apparently they want the sheeple to do everything they say.
