Nine years after the Barack Obama/Joe Biden regime launched the Russia-Russia-Russia hoax against presidential candidate Donald Trump, we continue to learn more about what really happened. A watchdog group has filed a bombshell lawsuit against the Department of Justice after learning that the DOJ spent years spying on Members of Congress and their legislative aides.
The DOJ was specifically spying on all Republicans and Democrats on the committees that have oversight of the DOJ and FBI. They didn’t want anyone accidentally stumbling onto the fact that the Russia collusion hoax was completely made up out of thin air.
Empower Oversight is a non-profit watchdog group that advocates for stronger oversight of corrupt federal agencies. The group raises money to cover the legal fees of federal whistleblowers and other similar activities.
Empower Oversight filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia this week. The purpose of the suit is to force the DOJ to comply with a series of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests that Empower filed almost a year ago.
The intelligence agencies began spying on Donald Trump as a candidate sometime in 2015 before the GOP primary debates were over and before the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses would happen in 2016.
The fact that they were spying on Trump months before he even became the nominee has always suggested to us that they were also spying on Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, and other Republicans running for the nomination. Why would they have only been spying on Trump, when everyone was convinced he would never become the nominee?
The intel agencies fabricated the Russia hoax during the 2016 campaign. According to the Empower Oversight lawsuit, it was during that period and the subsequent Russiagate investigation that the DOJ began spying on all the communications of congressional investigators and their bosses in oversight positions.
The lawsuit states, “These records will show the lengths to which DOJ went starting in 2016 to secretly surveil various congressional staff members (of both political parties) who were actively engaged in oversight of DOJ pursuant to their constitutional authorities.”
Jason Foster was the chief investigator on Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) staff during the Russia hoax. He was also one of the main investigators for the US Senate Judiciary Committee. Foster received a notification from Google in October 2023 that the DOJ had been spying on his electronic communications the whole time as he was trying to conduct oversight investigations of the DOJ.
The DOJ scared Google into complying with its unlawful request and slapped the company with a non-disclosure order prohibiting them from telling Foster, other aides, and Members of Congress that the DOJ had obtained all their emails, text messages, and other communications. It took seven years before the non-disclosure order on Foster’s communications expired.
Empower Oversight is suing for records related to the spying that took place against Members of Congress in both parties, as well as their legislative aides, during the Russiagate investigation.
One thing this lawsuit suggests is that the scale of the Russia hoax was far larger than we’ve been led to believe. This wasn’t just a few “bad apples” on the Seventh Floor of FBI headquarters like Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, and James Comey.
There had to have been dozens of FBI agents spying on Representatives, Senators, and legislative aides. There are 13 Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee. There are 44 Representatives on the House Judiciary Committee. There are also 25 seats on the House Intelligence Committee and 17 on the Senate Intel Committee.
That’s 99 Members of Congress!
If you consider that each of them had at least two aides under surveillance as well, we’re looking at 300 people on Capitol Hill who were being actively surveilled by the FBI and Department of Justice during the Russiagate hoax.
Imagine how many FBI agents it would take to actively spy on every phone call, text message, and email of 300 busy people on Capitol Hill at all times for two years. No wonder special prosecutor John Durham never arrested anyone over the Russia hoax. He’d have run out of handcuffs rounding up all the FBI agents and DOJ employees who were illegally spying on Congress.
Can you believe it’s been seven years since the Russia-Russia-Russia hoax, and we’re just now finding this out?
