With how reliant on technology the whole world has become there’s no doubt that something like an energy grid failure would cause widespread chaos and likely collapse a nation within a matter of days – and apparently, China has found an incredibly concerning way to make that happen with the flip of a switch.
According to a disturbing new report by Reuters, mysterious communications devices have been discovered in Chinese-manufactured solar panels and U.S. officials are concerned that they could be used to launch an attack which would cripple the power grid.
The communications devices, completely undisclosed by the Chinese manufacturers, are considered to be “rogue” pieces of tech inside of the panels and have the capability of triggering widespread blackouts in America.
Most notably, these hidden devices were found in solar panels which, thanks to government subsidies have been spreading like wildfire across the country, but also in things like power inverters, batteries, electric vehicle chargers, and heat pumps produced by several Chinese suppliers.
The hidden components were uncovered during random security inspections which LUCKILY managed to catch these risks.
This is incredibly dangerous considering that many of these Chinese manufactured items are wired directly into the fragile American energy gris.
Inverters, for example, connect solar panels and wind turbines to the power grid and they are almost completely manufactured in China.
“We know that China believes there is value in placing at least some elements of our core infrastructure at risk of destruction or disruption,” said Mike Rogers, former director of the U.S. National Security Agency.
“I think that the Chinese are, in part, hoping that the widespread use of inverters limits the options that the West has to deal with the security issue,” Roger’s further urged, suggesting that the Chinese could use these planted devices to shut off America’s power should we ever become engaged in a direct conflict.
According to cyber security experts, these rogue devices could be used by the Chinese Communist party (CCP) government to bypass firewalls and manipulate inverter settings remotely… or even launch a COMPLETE SHUTDOWN.
“That effectively means there is a built-in way to physically destroy the grid,” another source told Reuters.
There has long been a concern that an over reliance on Chinese manufactured tech could pose some serious risks to this nation’s national security, but Democrat lawmakers – pretty much owned by the CCP – have done their best to brush off those concerns.
In December 2023 a group of REPUBLICAN officials urged American power company Duke Energy to discontinue using Chinese-manufactured CATL batteries at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, citing surveillance risks.
“Directly following our inquiry, Duke disconnected the Chinese-manufactured systems from the grid,” the GOP officials stated in press release at the time.
But the Democrats? Completely silent on the matter, doing their very best to pretend like this is not a real threat – while simultaneously trying to paint the picture that Russia is our biggest foreign adversary as they secretly help China take over the United States from the inside…
And it looks like they may have succeeded…
