One of the first big nation-altering pieces of legislation that Democrats hope to ram down America’s throat is something called the “Equality Act.” And boy is this bill ever a pile of hot garbage! The effect of the bill is to completely erase the biological reality of the two sexes. But it’s far worse than that. If this bill becomes law, it will hand transgender people new legal protections that criminalize all our society’s protected safe spaces for women and girls. So much for the Party of Science and Women’s Rights!
The Equality Act is designated HR5 in the House of Representatives, and you can read it HERE if you have a strong enough stomach.
A lot has already been written about this act in terms of the damage it will do to women and girls’ sports. All of that is true. If passed into law, a grown man with a penis and a beard will have the federal “right” to change and shower in your 12-year-old daughter’s locker room after volleyball practice, so long as he says he’s a woman. Any federally funded public school that objects to this will be having an uncomfortable talk with the Justice Department. (Not that most public-school unions are opposed to transgender men showering with little girls.)
You might have thought that the girls’ locker room was a “safe space” for your daughters, but that’s about to change if this bill becomes law. But the societal havoc that this will wreak upon America goes even deeper than that.
A few years ago, I was surprised to learn that there are a bunch of Christian ministries across America that operate secret battered women’s shelters. These shelters are located in residential neighborhoods and look like normal two-story family homes. There’s no sign outside and you can’t find them in the phone book.
If a woman and her kids flee their home due an abusive spouse or boyfriend, they usually don’t have many financial resources at their disposal. A lot of times they end up homeless. But these ministries offer them a safe space to recover and get their feet under them. There are no men on staff at these shelters. Many of these women and kids are also victims of sexual abuse, so all of the staffers are dedicated women. It could be too traumatizing to allow any male staffers to be around them, because these women and kids are often so fragile after the situations they’ve been in.
I thought it would make a nice news segment to do a story on one of these shelters back in my TV days. But when I called the local shelter, they politely declined. Other than a few female police officers, there aren’t any men in the community who even know the location of these shelters. No problem. I pawned the story off to a female reporter and we had to track down a female videographer to shoot the story.
The point is that shelters like this are supposed to be a complete and total “safe space” for women and minor children, with no men around. None at all. Men are discriminated against in the shelters’ hiring practices, and men are discriminated from even knowing the location of these shelters, so that there’s no risk of an angry and violent husband or boyfriend showing up with a gun and making the situation worse.
Most mentally healthy people are perfectly fine with pockets of “discrimination” like this in their communities. It makes total sense that safe spaces like this exist and are kept secret. Unlike the crying rooms packed with coloring books and stuffed animals for modern American college students, these are real “safe spaces” for women and minor children in tough situations.
But not under the Equality Act! Facilities like this will become illegal if the Equality Act becomes law. Transgender dudes who get beaten up – usually around the time of “last call” at the bar when their date makes an unwanted discovery – will now have to legally be accepted into battered women’s shelters, homeless shelters and other places. Not to mention the fact that these women-only shelters can now be sued for discrimination if they don’t hire these types of biological men to be on staff.
That’s the “equality” that Democrats are offering women and children under the Equality Act. Absolutely no safe spaces where women and children can be protected from sex deviants will be allowed. If you feel like you should object to this act to your Member of Congress (and you should), the number for the congressional switchboard is (202) 224-3121. Feel free to call your Representative and Senators and demand that they vote “No” on the Equality Act.

They need to do a “test run” of this kind of perverse stupidity, devoid of any historically proven benefit by “science,” first, in the bathrooms of the Capitol Building, in the departments, agencies and bureaus of government, the military, etc., and, then, after obtaining statistics on the number of incidents of complaints, harrassment and court cases obtained from the “experimental group,” decide whether the negative effects and reactions from those who require of others that which they do not require of themselves, is a recommendation for this kind of utterly ridiculous, social engineering to be forced on to the American public without a national referendum by the people in an honest election. There is sufficient reason to question the legitimacy of the current administration as well as the moral and ethical competence of many in the Democrat Party who comprise it. It is long past time for Democrats to stop this intrusion into areas over which it has no constitutional authority whatsoever.
