By now you’ve probably heard about the non-stop flurry of radical left-wing judges who have spent the past several months sabotaging President Donald Trump’s agenda… but they’re not alone.
Despite the president’s best efforts to purge the federal government of deep-state tyrants, it seems there is at least one federal agency which is still under the control of Democrats and the Deep State: the Government Accountability Agency (GAO).
The GAO is supposed to be an “independent nonpartisan agency” withing the legislative branch that audits and investigates for Congress. Often referred to as the “congressional watchdog,” the agency’s mission is “to help Congress ensure the effective and efficient use of taxpayer money and to improve the performance of federal government programs.”
But… that’s not how it’s being used.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA), one of Trump’s biggest supporters in Congress, revealed to Breitbart News that the GAO is part of the “deep state resistance.”
“The GAO is part of the Deep State resistance trying to stop the will of 77 million Americans who voted for President Trump,” Greene said to Breitbart. “They are no different than far-left extremism in the judiciary that is trying to stop legal deportations.”
“These are the people who actively destroyed America for the last 4 years and used [President Joe] Biden as a puppet in order to harness the power of the government for their own insane political goals,” Greene said. “Talk about things that are illegal!”
As she revealed this, the GAO issued guidance to Senate Republicans that they could repeal a waiver allowing California to issue its own emissions standard. California uses their own strict emissions standard laws to brutalize the American auto manufacturing industry, which is not surprising considering California is pretty much owned by China.
This “guidance” was merely an excuse to tell Senate Republicans that they could NOT pass a resolution preventing California from using these kinds of strict emissions through the chamber using a simple majority.
Many Republicans were frustrated by the move.
“The GAO has no authority,” Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-WY) said.
“GAO has lost credibility as an independent body,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote.
“Just so we are all clear over the next several months. The Government Accountability Office or GAO is a quasi-independent arm of the legislative branch that played a partisan role in the first-term impeachment hoax.” Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought wrote on X.
Vought added, “They are going to call everything an impoundment because they want to grind our work to manage taxpayer dollars effectively to a halt. These are non-events with no consequence. Rearview mirror stuff.”
As it stands currently, the GAO has at least 39 open inquiries into whether or not the White House violated rules against circumventing Congress’ power of the purse by unilaterally cutting waste, fraud, and abuse from our government without sitting around waiting for congress to say that its ok for the government to stop stealing our tax dollars…
Trump’s administration has attempted to downsize the radicalized GAO through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) but the issue is that the GAO is technically a part of Congress – which limits how much DOGE can actually do to it.
The only way to truly neutralize the threat posed by this rogue agency is through Congress, but considering the GOP majority is pretty much USELESS these days that’s a long shot to say the least.
It seems that for the time being, we have no choice but to live with this crooked deep-state resistance agency undercutting EVERYTHING President Trump wants to do to make Americans lives better.
