Virginia’s Gov. Youngkin Shows the GOP How to Fight Again

The Republican Party establishment has been really terrible to Donald Trump, and by extension to Trump’s base. The GOP are not only terrible fighters on behalf of their base, but they often do not even realize when they are in a fight. Look at how close the Democrats came to literally destroying America last week. If the filibuster had been abolished, every illegal alien would be a citizen with voting rights by now, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC would be states, the Supreme Court would have 15 Justices on it and trains would be hauling the “unvaccinated” off to concentration camps. Where was the GOP during that fight? Hiding under their desks while they let Kyrsten Sinema do the heavy lifting for them.

We are in an existential fight for the future of America right now, and most elected GOP officials don’t even seem to recognize it. Think about this for a moment: Everything that Joe Biden did during his first year in office that harmed Americans was done deliberately. High gas prices, high winter heating prices, runaway inflation, empty store shelves, parents targeted as domestic terrorists… all of that was done deliberately to hurt the Deplorables who are viewed as mortal enemies of the regime in power.

The Democrat Party has turned a corner now that they are in a mad, headlong rush to implement communism in America. There is no extending an olive branch to these people or compromising with them. That’s why it is so crucial that newly elected Republicans get over their aversion to wielding political power to crush their enemies. They have to learn to wield power the way that Democrats wield power whenever they have it. Because this is a fight that we do not want to lose.

We received a pleasant surprise over the weekend when Glenn Youngkin was sworn in as Governor of Virginia, and when Jason Miyares was sworn in as Virginia’s new Attorney General. They both hit the ground running!

Youngkin signed a stack of 11 executive actions that he had ready to go the moment he came into power. And these were not minor executive actions. The first one banned Critical Race Theory in all Virginia schools. The second gave parents the authority over whether their kids have to wear a stupid mask in school. Another one rescinded the previous governor’s vaccine mandate for state employees. Another authorizes an investigation into the Loudoun County School Board, which covered up a rape committed by a transgender student so the board could pass new sweeping transgender rules in the schools.

Youngkin also withdrew Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and signed another order to reduce job-killing regulations in Virginia by 25% this year.

Every single one of those executive actions has one common denominator: They make liberals cry. Democrats are wearing sackcloth and ashes today, and the wailing and gnashing of teeth is a sight to behold. They are butt-hurt.

Youngkin wielded his political power much the same way that the Democrats wielded power on Joe Biden’s first day in office. Remember when they brought out a stack of executive orders for Sleepy Joe to sign immediately?

Everything that Youngkin signed was perfectly within his authority to sign as the new Governor of Virginia. But when is the last time you saw a Republican take such sweeping actions on his first day in office? Not recently. Youngkin did not worry that some of these orders will be attacked in court later on. He seems to understand that it’s better to throw the first punch, than to never throw a punch at all.

New Attorney General Jason Miyares didn’t waste any time, either. He fired 30 George Soros loyalists from the AG’s office on his first day. Then, he immediately launched investigations into the Loudoun County School Board’s transgender rape cover-up and the corrupt Virginia Parole Board. (The Virginia Parole Board has recently begun releasing murderers and rapists from prison early, based on their skin color.) Miyares also launched a new challenge against Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers, despite the recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld that mandate.

The GOP should be watching what just happened in Virginia closely. That is how you fight an entrenched enemy that wants to destroy you. That is how you wield political power to the benefit of your base and to the detriment of your enemies. We should no longer accept any Republican candidates who are unwilling to fight like this, starting on day one after they are sworn into power.

  1. Vote out all RINOS & Republican loser out of Office in November. Stop sending money to GOP . Only sending money directly to President Trump & some Republicans like Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul,Kennedy etc…………

  2. Hoping Ohio elects a new conservative governor this year to undo the damage imposed by Rhino Mike DeWine. Governor Youngkin has set a great example for others to follow. I totally agree that donations should be sent only to proven conservatives, NOT to any PAC’s that claim to support only conservatives.
