Democrats Are So Toxic They’re Literally Dressing Up as Republicans to Sneak Into Office — And Getting Caught

The Democrat brand has gotten so radioactive that their own candidates would rather pretend to be Republicans than admit what they actually believe. Multiple Democrats across the country are now registering as Republicans, building fake conservative campaign websites, and running in GOP primaries — because apparently the donkey logo repels voters like garlic repels vampires.

It’s Halloween in April, folks. Except instead of candy, these clowns want your congressional seat.

Meet Samuel Ronan, a guy running in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District against Republican Rep. Mike Carey. Ronan previously ran for the Ohio state legislature in 2016 — as a Democrat. He ran for DNC Chair in 2017 — as a Democrat. And now, in 2026, he signed a sworn declaration under penalty of election falsification swearing he was a Republican. He even built a whole campaign website pretending to hold conservative policy positions. The man created an entire political Halloween costume, complete with accessories.

Here’s the problem with lying under oath: courts tend to notice.

A federal judge ruled against him. The Sixth Circuit upheld the disqualification. And on April 10th, the United States Supreme Court rejected his emergency appeal without a single justice even bothering to write a comment. No dissent. No “well, actually.” Just a nine-justice eye roll and a stamp that says DENIED.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose called it “political transgenderism” — and honestly, that’s the most accurate description of this scheme anyone’s come up with. These people aren’t converting to conservatism. They’re putting on a costume and hoping nobody looks too closely at the receipt.

But Ronan isn’t even the most brazen one. Over in North Carolina’s 14th District, a woman named Kate Barr is running against Rep. Tim Moore — as a Republican — while openly telling voters she’s not actually a Republican. Barr literally campaigned saying, quote, “I’m not a real Republican. I’m running as a progressive in a Republican primary because that is where the actual competition happens in our gerrymandered district.”

Read that again. She’s admitting it. Out loud. To voters. With a microphone.

She told people she’d “always voted Democrat.” She previously ran for the North Carolina State Senate. As a Democrat. And now she’s filed paperwork as a Republican while simultaneously waving a progressive flag. It’s like showing up to a steakhouse wearing a PETA shirt and ordering the ribeye.

LaRose, to his credit, drew the right line. “We’re a big tent party,” he said. “We welcome former Democrats who have been left behind by their party. If you’re a former Democrat who has changed your ways, and now you’re a Republican, you’re more than welcome.” But these aren’t people who changed their minds. These are infiltrators. They’re running a covert op against Republican voters using Republican voters’ own primary ballots.

And we should be honest about why this is happening. Democrat polling shows that many of their hallmark issues — defunding police, open borders, gender ideology in kindergarten classrooms — are about as popular as a skunk at a garden party. Their candidates can’t run on what Democrats actually believe, because what Democrats actually believe loses elections. So instead of changing their positions, they’re changing their jerseys.

Ronan himself said the quiet part out loud before the courts shut him down. His strategy, in his own words, was to “infiltrate Republican spaces,” “primary them,” and run as Republicans in “deep red districts” to “get a foot in the door.” That’s not political participation. That’s political espionage.

Think about what this says about the state of the Democrat Party. Ronald Reagan switched parties because his beliefs genuinely changed. Donald Trump was a Democrat once, too — and when he came to the GOP, he didn’t sneak in through the back door. He kicked down the front door and redecorated the whole building. That’s what a real conversion looks like.

What Ronan and Barr are doing is fraud in a flag pin. They want the Republican label because it’s the only label that wins in most of America. They don’t want our principles. They don’t want our platform. They just want our voters to be dumb enough not to check.

We aren’t.

The courts have already started slapping this down, and LaRose is sounding the alarm for other states: “I’m glad that people are paying attention because this same game may be coming to your state.” He’s right. If it worked in Ohio and North Carolina, you can bet the DNC will try it in Texas, in Georgia, in every red district where the Democrat brand is electoral poison.

So here’s your homework, folks. Before you vote in your next primary, do five minutes of research. Check their donation history. Check their previous races. Check if the “Republican” on your ballot was campaigning for the DNC Chair five years ago. Because the Democrats have officially admitted they can’t win as themselves — and the only question left is whether we’re paying enough attention to stop them from winning as us.
