On the eve of the 2016 election, pollsters were predicting a 95% chance that Hillary Clinton would be America’s next president. It was going to be the first ever 535-0 blowout in the Electoral College. That same night, after one of his final whirlwind rallies attended by tens of thousands of MAGA supporters, Donald Trump leaned in close to Mike Pence. “This doesn’t feel like second place,” he said. He was right.
When you’re on a winning campaign, you can feel it in the air. The enthusiasm from the voters is palpable. Everyone is happy and the sky looks brighter and sunnier than ever before. It is truly a rush. The opposite is true if you work for a campaign that knows it’s sinking into a manure pile of defeat.
You start drinking too much and polishing your resume. You also start dishing doom-and-gloom insider information to reporters, because you’re bitter about the fact that you’ll be out of a job on the Wednesday after Election Day. That’s what Kamala Harris’s staff is doing right now.
It is BLEAK for Kamala’s staff right now. They’d be quitting in droves this week if they weren’t under orders from Barack Obama to stay right where they are.
“There has been a thought that maybe Michigan or Wisconsin will fall off,” an anonymous Harris campaign official told NBC News.
Talk about getting off message. The rule of thumb with campaigning is that you are never supposed to admit that you could possibly lose a close state. No matter how high or low you are on the totem pole, you never admit that. Never, never, never. They are supposed to stay on message and express optimism of victory to keep their base inspired.
JD Vance is the perfect example of this.
“I think we’re gonna win Michigan.”
“I think we’re gonna win Wisconsin.”
“I think the people of Pennsylvania are going to make the right choice and we’re going to win.”
And so on.
If you say that your campaign could possibly lose a state, it is a morale killer for fair-weather voters. It tells them that it doesn’t matter if they show up or not because it’s hopeless. A total of four different Harris campaign officials have expressed their doom and gloom to NBC News this week.
“Of all of the seven [states], that one seems to be a little bit slipping away,” said another anonymous staffer about North Carolina.
Democrats are underperforming drastically in early voting in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Dan Turrentine, a Democrat podcaster, has also spoken to Harris staffers and says the mood is getting truly dark.
“Things like this, you know, give you a little bit of heartburn … Nevada is supposed to be, you know, one of our best states,” noted Turrentine.
In Nevada, 96,858 Republicans have already filled out their ballots and banked their votes early, compared to 88,983 Democrats. In a normal election year, early voting would mean that around 100,000 Democrats and 4 Republicans have voted by now in Nevada. This is unprecedented in Nevada’s history ever since they started allowing early voting. It’s never happened before.
Republicans aren’t going to get caught flat-footed again like we did in 2020 and 2022. We all saw the fraud that took place in Arizona when all the voting machines “malfunctioned” simultaneously during the midterms. Thousands of Republican voters were disenfranchised and their candidates lost the races for Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General.
Who knows what type of Election Day catastrophe they will try to stage this year? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the CIA shuts off the power grid in some of the swing states. They’re that desperate and terrified of the looming Trump victory.
I already voted early in my state and you should too if you have the opportunity. My ballot looked like (R), (R), (R), (R), (R), (R), (R), (R), (R), (R) on the candidates from the president down to dog catcher and (No), (No), (No), (No), (No), (No), (No), (No) on everything that would raise my taxes.
We need to deliver a massive victory for Donald Trump and we need to send him plenty of backup with House and Senate majorities, so he can hit the ground running with a grassroots mandate for his second term. We’ll know with certainty that Kamala Harris is losing badly if the media starts to turn against her during the final week of the campaign.
