There’s been a lot of talk about how the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) threw $20 billion worth of “gold bars” off the Titanic, filling the pockets of prominent leftists, in the final days of Joe Biden’s presidency – but evidently this is just normal behavior for the federal government under Democrat rule!
Open The Books (OTB), a government watchdog organization that has been working to expose how the government spends the tax money they’re taking for hard-working Americans has revealed that federal agencies have been quietly going on MASSIVE spending sprees for YEARS.
According to OTB, the federal agencies have been taking more and more of OUR tax dollars for themselves at an incredibly unprecedented rate with no meaningful oversight.
Congress is supposed to responsibly set the funding levels for the agencies, but what happens when you have a Congress dominated by a uniparty who are more interested in receiving kickbacks than they are in doing what’s best for the future of America?
You get agencies whose budgets mysteriously increase every year, outpacing inflation and oddly enough, the growth of their staff. And if they’re not paying staff where is the money going?
In Biden’s first year as president, 2021, the Department of Commerce (DOC)’s annual spending grew from roughly $13.1 billion to an estimated $20.5 billion in 2024. Interestingly enough their workforce SHRUNK during that time period from 53,939 to 47,650.
That’s more than $7 billion more… for… less employees?
OTB said that “Time after time, at agency after agency, we see spending skyrocketing” like this.
And they weren’t kidding.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s employee count dropped from 106,715 in 2000 to 92,072 in 2024. But over that time period their spending EXPLODED from $75 billion to $254.2 billion.
How is that even possible?
Another example is the Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD for short, where their annual spending nearly doubled JUST UNDER PRESIDENT BIDEN’S 4 YEARS, from $35 billion in 2021 to $56 billion in 2024.
And the list just goes on and on.
Overall, while Biden was sitting in the Oval Office (or more accurately on a beach in Delaware) he added nearly $5 trillion to the national debt and grew the federal government’s workforce to a record-shattering 23.5 million bureaucrats.
The federal government, which produces NOTHING (unless you count foreign regime changes) has grown become nothing more than cesspool of leeches who are only loyal to the state – not the American people.
And while it’s gotten harder and harder to make a decent living as a private sector employee, the government is taking a bigger chunk of the pie for themselves.
Richard Stern, a federal budget expert at The Heritage Foundation, said that this makes it clear that “Biden’s economic policies… strangled the private sector” and “transferred resources to local, state, and federal governments.”
In other words, we’re talking about COMMUNISM unfolding before our very eyes.
Little by little, the government has been quietly seizing control of the economy and the data suggests they’re only going to continue doing so – unless President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency ACTUALLY put a stop to all of this once and for all.
If not, we might have four years of slowed government growth – but then they will only come back with a vengeance as soon as the Democrats regain control.
