Trump haters still don’t get it. They feel that the President should use somber and respectful language in referring to our dead enemies following successful operations. Presidents have done it that way for decades, right?
In fact, President Obama went out of his way to assure Osama Bin Laden’s followers that we didn’t wrap that mass murderer in bacon and toss him to a pack of hungry dogs like he truly deserved. No, we observed rituals of the Muslim faith and treated his corpse with the utmost respect.
That was small comfort to the over two thousand American families whose loved ones were buried under the rubble of Twin Towers.
Even after 9-11, Democrats don’t seem to realize we are fighting a war, and it is important to demoralize the enemy. They don’t understand the importance of ridiculing ISIS terrorist al-Baghdadi. It was to rub in everyone’s face that a scumbag that the Washington Post referred to as a gentle cleric had actually killed and ordered the rape of thousands of people. His well-deserved end was being chased down a tunnel by an attack dog, where he blew himself and 3 children up.
Yes, Democrat whiners, President Trump wanted to show that Al Qaeda and ISIS leaders are not courageous and aren’t just religious zealots who have twisted their religion. Bin Laden and al-Baghdadi liked to pose with automatic weapons and appear pious. However, U.S. forces found pornographic materials in Bin Laden’s compound, and al-Baghdadi ran running and screaming to his death.
One leading whiner has been Senator Kamala Harris—frequently referred to as “failing candidate Kamala Harris” by President Trump. Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Senator Harris complained, “You would think he was talking about watching and giving commentary on a video game. He is the commander in chief…He clearly does not fully appreciate the importance of the job, which must be done with integrity, which must be done in a way that is solemn, understanding what is at stake. But I give full credit to our military, to our Special Forces, to our intelligence committee for the work they’ve done and continued to do.”
Wait, Senator. Didn’t you just say that the President is the commander in chief? That includes the military, right? Who gave the risky operation its final green light and warned the Russians and Turks not to interfere? If you understand the importance and responsibilities of the job, you would know the tremendous heat he would have taken had the mission failed.
One other thing that Kamala Harris and her band of liberal whiners still don’t get is this: They were suckered again. They whined about the troop pull out (28 soldiers, actually) from Syria. Even some Republicans joined in. Lindsay Graham called the pullback the biggest mistake of the Trump presidency. “What exactly is the administration’s Syrian strategy?” they carped.
The strategy turned out to be the destruction of ISIS. Kamala’s “intelligence committee” point-person Adam Schiff figured all was good overseas and President Trump was on the run. Nothing to see there.
Meanwhile, al-Baghdadi, who plays close attention to American news media, relaxed in his Syrian hole in the ground. When the President’s closely held two-week plan came together, his plan killed two birds with one stone: the head of ISIS and the credibility of Democrat and news media detractors.
Take a victory lap, Mr. President. But don’t expect anything beyond faint, grudging recognition for a job well done from failing candidates like Kamala Harris.
Americans will make up for that at the polls next year.
