Good grief! Joe Biden and Merrick Garland have called a “brain trust” in at the DOJ to think up new and interesting ways to investigate Donald Trump. Although we hesitate to use the term “brain trust” when talking about those two. Their newest plan is to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Donald Trump after he announces that he’s running for President again in 2024.
This seems like a new direction for the Biden DOJ, since many of us were convinced that the Mar-a-Lago raid in August was going to lead to the arrest of Trump on some bogus “mishandling paperwork” indictment.
CNN has reported:
“DOJ officials have debated whether doing so could insulate the Justice Department from accusations that Joe Biden’s administration is targeting his chief political rival.”
Oh, sure, DOJ officials! No on will view it as a political move, and we definitely won’t think that Joe Biden had anything to do with it if our independent and squeaky-clean Justice Department were to indict Joe Biden’s main opponent for the White House. We promise we won’t accuse the Biden regime of targeting a political rival.
Isn’t it interesting how Democrats always accuse Republican presidents of “politicizing the Justice Department” while they’re in office, but then they’re always the ones who actually politicize it? Despite Democrats fretting about such a thing – since the “no cash bail” party really worries about justice a lot – Republicans even brag about how they’re not politicizing the DOJ. The worthless and lumpy Attorney General Bill Barr even said that under his watch, the DOJ was not going to get into a “political tit for tat” by conducting investigations against prominent Democrats. How’s that working out for America, by the way?
Maybe we should ask some of the imprisoned January 6ers, some of whom have not seen sunlight for 2 years now while awaiting their trial for misdemeanor parading at the US Capitol.
Or Peter Navarro. Or Steve Bannon. Or Roger Stone. Or Paul Manafort.
CNN adds:
“The Justice Department is also staffing up its investigations with experienced prosecutors so it’s ready for any decisions after the midterms, including the potential unprecedented move of indicting a former president.”
Does everybody see how this game works now? Accuse Republicans of “politicizing the Justice Department” when they’re in power, even though Republicans make a point of telling everyone they’re NOT politicizing the DOJ. Then, Democrats bring in their partisan “wing men” like Eric Holder or Merrick Garland, and use the DOJ and its main enforcement arm, the FBI, for maximum partisan advantage by harassing and jailing their opponents.
The GOP needs to wake up to this and do one of two things. The first and most obvious is to simply defund and abolish the FBI, and then clean house at the DOJ. It’s baffling why there are some conservatives who are so enamored with the FBI that they balk at this idea. The FBI was only intended to be formed as a temporary federal agency to fight mob crime. It’s extended its mandate by about 80 years. There’s no legitimate law enforcement task that the FBI carries out that could not be shuffled over to the US Marshals or some other agency.
If you haven’t noticed, the FBI isn’t actually investigating any crimes these days. They’ve completely stopped investigating child sex trafficking, because they’re too busy spying on parents who yell at their local school boards or arresting former Trump White House advisors. Simply getting rid of the FBI is the easiest and best possible solution.
And if they won’t do that, then the GOP needs to start wielding power the same way that Democrats do. A bully doesn’t stop bullying you until you punch him in the nose. The next Republican administration should bring in a partisan hack for Attorney General and have him or her go hog wild investigating and harassing Democrats. They’re going to accuse the next Republican of that anyway. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
My dream is to have a Republican Attorney General who calls a big press conference and announces:
“Oh, look, we just found Hunter Biden and Seth Rich’s laptops here at FBI headquarters! Guess we’ll be taking a look at those and publicly releasing EVERYTHING! And just for the sake of curiosity, we’re going to be looking closely at the finances of the adult children of every elected Democrat in Congress!”
Maybe that would make them finally get the message.
Garland & Biden will be up to thier noses in law suits, and investgations,And the FBI & DOJ, will be useless to stop all the GOP,s indevers. Inpeachment is too good for these 2 cocksuckers. Hang them both for treason!
