Six senior Biden regime officials at the office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) have quit in frustration. After three years of trying to ram Joe Biden’s Green New Deal into every foreign trade proposal, to force Democrats lunatic dictates on other countries, the USTR has not racked up a single trade victory.
The Biden regime does not have a single trade victory that they can point to for American workers. The trade reps who are quitting are the proverbial rats on the sinking ship. It’s better for them to get out now and look for another job, rather than waiting to get fired after Biden loses the 2024 election.
Imagine that you’re a modestly prosperous foreign country that wants access to American consumers via a trade agreement. You sit down with Joe Biden’s reps from the USTR. The USTR informs you that in order iron out a trade agreement, Joe has a few… minor concessions known as the “Green New Deal” that you have to agree to.
First, massively curb oil and gas production in your country. Just shut it down. Make up an excuse. Ignore the pleas of your own citizens as the price of gasoline—and everything else in the economy—needlessly gets more expensive due to the massive increase in shipping and transport costs. This will make the citizens of your country miserable and much poorer financially, but it will be worth it because you are saving the weather from getting hotter a hundred years from now or something.
Second, once your citizens are truly getting crushed under the weight of massive increases in domestic groceries and fuel, issue an electric car mandate. Give the people just a few years to phase out gas-powered cars that actually work and switch over to wildly expensive electric cars that no one wants. Install lots of electric car charging stations—far more than your power grid can currently handle.
Third, speaking of your power grid, you need to start shutting down efficient means of energy production like coal, nuclear, natural gas, or hydroelectric plants. Those are all bad. Instead, replace those reliable and amazingly clean forms of energy with windmills and solar panels. This will drive up the cost of heating or cooling the homes of your citizens dramatically. The weather will thank them for their sacrifice.
Who would want a trade deal with a country making those insane demands?
“Please financially cripple your nation because of my weird weather religion and then I’ll let you trade with us!”

So, after three years of trying to force other countries into the Green New Deal for trade access with America, the USTR has exactly zero trade wins that Joe Biden can brag about to the voters. Do you want to know what’s really ironic?
Democrats in Congress accomplished more for the US under Donald Trump’s many trade victories. For example, in the rewrite of NAFTA with Mexico and Canada, Senate Democrats were allowed to insert binding labor and environmental standards into the deal.
Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) are both blasting Joe Biden’s many trade failures now.
Sen. Brown and I have consistently said that you need the kind of proposal that you saw in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement where you open up markets for business and you have tough enforcement,” says Wyden, “and a lot of what’s been put up doesn’t meet that test.”
Translation: Democrats were better off with Trump in office.
All of this is the exact opposite of what the Very Smart Boys in the fake news media told the American people for four years. They told us Trump was going to wreck relations with all our trading partners. After the 2020 election was stolen, they told us the adults were back in charge and it was going to be rainbows and milk and honey every day with Team Biden in charge of trade.
Trump’s trade deals always benefited American workers, too. Just as a reminder of the amazing string of trade wins with other countries that Trump’s team accomplished in just four years:
India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, energy deals with the European Union, huge changes with China including tariffs, rewriting NAFTA, new agriculture agreements, and demands that the tech sector reinvest in America.
By 2019, we had the best economy in America that any of us have seen in our lifetimes. Deflation was happening—meaning the costs of groceries and energy were going down. You didn’t even need to get a raise at work to have more money in your pocket.
After three years of failure under Biden, his trade reps are now walking out the door. Want to fix the economy and get out of this miserable hole that Joe Biden put us in? Then you know who to vote for in November.

It won’t be enough to just elect Trump. To reverse all this we need to elect a truly conservative, America-loving senate and do the same in the House. A lot of the stuff democrats say Trump promised but then deliver was because the House and/or Senate would not support him. This is the bane of all presidencies.
