While President Donald Trump and his administration are fighting tirelessly to deport at least some of the 5-10 million illegal aliens brought into this country by his predecessor, the Democrats have other plans in mind.
Not only are Democrats launching lawsuit after lawsuit to try and keep these foreign invaders here in America, they’re now OPENLY trying to make sure that these illegal aliens can become Democrat voters in the near future.
The Democrats favorite political “fixer,” attorney Marc Elias, launched a lawsuit late last week to challenge a new law which makes it harder for noncitizens to register to vote.
Elias, who played a MASSIVE role in the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, has claimed that it’s a “violation of the Constitution” to prevent people who are not citizens of this country from being able to vote in our elections. We couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried!
The law, which is slated to go into effect on July 1 of this year in the state of Wyoming, requires people looking to register to vote to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in order to do so.
This proof includes simple documents which every American has in their possession, things like a U.S. passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers, and other options.
To normal people who value legitimately fair and free elections this sounds like a great law, but to the Democrats, it sounds like their worst nightmare.
Elias, alongside the far-left Equality State Policy Center and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) allege in their joint lawsuit that this legislation violates the First and Fourteenth Amendments.
“When HB 156 becomes effective, it will impose new, burdensome, and entirely unnecessary requirements that will make it harder for eligible citizens to vote,” the suit claims. “The result will be the exclusion and disenfranchisement of citizens.”
The suit goes on to argue in essence that women and low-income voters don’t know how to get this simple proof.
“Women — as well as Hispanic, young, and low-income voters — are less likely to have acceptable documentation and, in many cases, face greater hurdles to obtaining it.” The suit claims.
It adds, “women are more likely than men to be turned away when they go to register as a result of HB 156,” because of name changes resulting from marriage.
Basically they’re relying on the same old leftist excuse that American voters are too “dumb” to figure out how to provide some simply paperwork when registering to vote. Even worse, they’re not just saying all Americans are too dumb, they’re specifically saying that DEMOCRAT voters are too dumb to do this!
Beyond that, it goes on to state that “both federal and Wyoming law have long prohibited noncitizens from voting,” which is another common leftist lie.
Current laws don’t require any proof of citizenship to vote either on the federal or the state level. Instead, all they do is ask the person registering to vote whether or not they are a citizen, asking people to give glorified “pinky promise” reassurances.
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray said it best when he noted that the lawsuit “shows how far the radical Left is willing to go to try to stop election integrity.”
“The far-left’s lawsuit is a meritless attempt to undermine the common-sense election integrity measures Wyomingites want. Proof of citizenship and proof of residency are common sense measures pivotal to election integrity…”
Today Elias may just be after Wyoming’s law, but if there’s one thing we know about this miserable Democrat attack dog, it’s that he won’t stop until he’s done WHATEVER it takes to keep the Democrats in power… no matter how much damage he inflicts on this nation in the process.
