Two years ago, Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky participated in Team Globalism’s first attempted impeachment of President Donald Trump. How’d that work out for him?
As Donald Trump noted in his recent CPAC speech, he’s the only American president of the 21st century on whose watch Russia did not invade another country. Other than Saudi Arabia indiscriminately bombing Yemen (which the world continues to ignore), the ongoing civil war in Syria that Obama started, and a couple of regional conflicts in Africa, the world was suspiciously quiet for the four years of the Trump administration. Even North Korea tried to come to the bargaining table for peace.
But Zelensky did the globalists’ bidding and tried to help remove Trump from office through impeachment. Nice going, dummy!
Trump’s first impeachment in January of 2020 was, as you probably remember, over Trump’s perfect phone call with President Zelensky. Joe Biden’s crackhead son was being paid over a million dollars a year for a no-show job on the board of a corrupt Ukrainian gas company, in exchange for political favors that Biden could swing as a powerful US politician.
Biden publicly bragged about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating that deal fired. It was a quid pro quo in which then-Vice President Biden threatened to withhold a billion dollars in aid from Ukraine, unless the prosecutor got canned.
Donald Trump asked Zelensky to look into that corrupt deal, which is a perfectly reasonable request from one leader to another. That request was not predicated on anything. Trump didn’t threaten to withhold aid from Ukraine if Zelensky refused. The Pentagon, however, delayed a shipment of cash to Ukraine for two months – which President Trump didn’t know about at the time.
A fake “whistleblower” on the National Security Council and Ukrainian-born fat boy THAT’s LIEUTENANT COLONEL Alexander Vindmann ran to Adam Schiff on the intel committee and leaked the transcript of the phone call to the Democrats. That set off the first absurd and failed impeachment trial against President Trump.
The transcript was ambiguous, because it’s a transcript. You cannot pick up all of the nuances of a conversation from reading a transcription of it.
So, there was one person in the world who could have forcefully spoken out and helped to put an end to the mad rush to impeach Trump. And that was the guy on the other end of that phone call – Volodymyr Zelensky. But he didn’t do that.
He gave diplomatically evasive answers anytime an American reporter bothered to ask him a question about it. He stated, “There was no blackmail from the US” in halting English.
Um… right. You weren’t on a phone call with the US, you little twit. You were on a private, secure and confidential phone call with Donald Trump. And no one ever said the call involved blackmail. Democrats tried to impeach Trump over a quid pro quo – a “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” deal.
Instead of forcefully declaring that there was nothing untoward or illegal about his phone call with Trump, Zelensky read a script that was handed to him that could have been written by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. How dare Donald Trump insist that there was corruption in Ukraine!
Yes, Zelensky really said that.
Zelensky accused Trump of making it more difficult for his corrupt little country to get aid from other Western countries. He claimed Trump was “creating the impression” that Ukraine is the closest thing to a Third World country in Eastern Europe.
Again – Trump had no knowledge that the Pentagon had delayed a transfer of authorized funds to Ukraine for two months.
But Zelensky stated:
“If you’re our strategic partner, then you can’t go blocking anything for us. I think that’s just about fairness. It’s not about a quid pro quo.”
Zelensky could have forcefully declared over and over again that his phone call with Trump didn’t involve anything untoward. Instead, he bashed Donald Trump, claimed that Trump blocked the aid that the Pentagon had blocked, and poured fuel on the impeachment fire. And he did it with his hand out the whole time, bitching that his welfare check from the American taxpayers didn’t arrive fast enough.
The common-sense wisdom of one of Aesop’s fables comes to mind: “Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true!” Zelensky and the rest of the globalists wanted Donald Trump out of office. Any regrets today about which side you chose, Mr. Zelensky? How is not-having-Trump-in-office working out for you?
