Just three short years ago, everything about life in America was so much better. Especially from an economic standpoint.
None of us could have guessed just how rapidly Barack Obama would be able to destroy the US economy through his proxy puppet, Joe Biden. We went from the best economy any of us have seen in our lifetimes under Donald J. Trump, to a nation where a majority of Americans don’t know if they’ll be able to afford the rent next month.
Let’s take a look at just how terribly Obama and his puppet Joe Biden have wrecked the American dream.
The inflation rate has been at 20% for three straight years. One of the only bills that Congress passed in 2021 was that bloated, $1.9 trillion COVID scam bill that Biden immediately signed into law. That action, combined with crippling the American energy sector, caused the economic spiral that we’re still in today.
It costs $40 for a box of diapers now.
Oh, and remember that baby formula shortage that Biden caused during his first year in office? The incompetent Biden regime still hasn’t solved that problem.
Producer prices have increased by 17.9% since Biden took office. This completely eats up the profit margins of farmers, ranchers, manufacturers, and other people and businesses that make things.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has only been tracking year-to-year producer prices since 2010. Since Joe Biden has been in office, these three years have been the largest year-to-year price increases the BLS has ever tracked.
If it costs a manufacturer more to produce something, they have to charge you more for it, which drives inflation even more fiercely.
Yahoo Finance reported in December that 60% of Americans now struggle to pay for groceries. Many Americans have had to downgrade the quality of the foods they purchase, just to afford groceries every month.
Tucker Carlson was shocked last week when he purchased a cart full of groceries for four people in Moscow, Russia, and it only cost about $100 USD. Other countries are not suffering like we are, so this is obviously being done to us intentionally by policymakers in the Obama/Biden White House.
Food prices have gone up by 21% since Joe Biden was installed after the fake 2020 election. Rent has increased an average of 19% for Americans. Electricity to power your home has gone up 29%.
Biden’s war on American energy independence has also made it more expensive to fuel up your car or truck. RNC Research has shown that the average price of a gallon of gas has remained above $3 in America for 974 days (more than three years). Gas was as low as $1.87 a gallon in America when the mean tweets guy was in the White House.
Since Joe Biden has been in office, the 30-year mortgage rate has hit the highest level since the American economy was hurt by 9/11. Most millennials and GenZ kids can forget about buying that first home with mortgage rates at 7.31%. With interest rates that high, it now costs about $1 million to pay for a $400,000 house.
When President Trump was in office, a $2,000 monthly mortgage payment was enough to afford a house valued at $460,000. Now that Joe Biden is in office, that same $2,000 mortgage payment can only afford a home valued at less than $295,000. That’s a 36% decline in three years (and Diaper Joe still has one more year in office!).
Back in October, the mortgage rate topped 8% at one point. A report on Fox Business found that home ownership has now been deemed “unaffordable” in 99% of the country.
The American dream used to mean that working- and middle-class Americans could save up and buy their own home. Joe Biden has killed that dream for most young Americans and as long as a Democrat controls the White House, that’s not going to change.
As of December 2023, 62% of Americans now say they are living paycheck-to-paycheck. Almost two-thirds of the entire country is just one car repair away from financial insolvency. This is what it feels like when your nation’s economy is crashing at high speed.
Will Donald Trump be able to fix everything that Joe Biden has broken if we give him a second term in office? We don’t know. The damage may be too much for Trump to repair in just a four-year term.
What we do know is that unlike Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Donald Trump understands how an economy works and he has no desire to make your life worse. We know that Trump can improve things and will do so quickly once he’s back in office. The question is whether many of us will be able to hang in there for the last year of Biden’s disastrous term.
