Those on the far left are happier than a pig in shit right now. They have never been loser to accomplishing a major agenda item than they are right now. Liberal extremists, determined to dishonor the death of George Floyd, are manipulating the tragedy to defund police departments and give violent anarchists such as Antifa free reign over law-abiding Americans. The Minneapolis City Council recently pushed what appears to be a veto-proof resolution that would permanently dismantle its police department.
“Our commitment is to end our city’s toxic relationship with the Minneapolis Police Department,” city council president Lisa Bender reportedly said. “It is clear that our system of policing is not keeping our communities safe. Our efforts at incremental reform have failed, period.”
But what Minneapolis residents may not be entirely aware of is the fact that one of the nine-council member super-majority, Jeremiah Ellison, is the son of a prominent politician and Antifa supporter. Ellison’s father, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, declared support for the violent anarchists that have infiltrated otherwise peaceful George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protests. Pres. Donald J. Trump deemed Antifa a domestic terror organization and many have been arrested for inciting riots, looting, arson, and attacking police, as well as bystanders.
“Defunding MPD, by the time we’re ready to do that, we will have a fully formed new public safety strategy in place,” Minneapolis city council member Ellison reportedly said. “There are things that we’re going to have to do in the next couple of weeks and months, right? We’ve got the budget coming up. We’ve got this huge budget shortfall because of coronavirus. We also have other public safety strategies that are not the police that we’ve sort of failed to fund but they do work. Those are things that we can kind of get putting our resources behind right away.”
Radical liberals in Washington, D.C., have also shouted down the brave men and women who form the thin blue line between community and chaos. One of the Democratic Party’s leading voices — New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) — has led the charge on defunding police budgets to a degree they could no longer safely enforce laws.
“The reduction of our NYPD budget and defunding a $6 billion budget, that costs us books in the hands of our children and costs us very badly needed investment in NYCHA and public housing,” AOC said.
New York City employs the largest police department in the country, despite that it still remains stretched thin due to massive population density, mob rule, and visitors from around the world. AOC also called for massive cuts in military spending as the Trump Administration works to restore the failing condition of the armed services.
Minnesota Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, a member of AOC’s antisemitic and anti-American “Squad,” called for a complete and immediate disbanding of the Minnesota Police Department. Rep. Omar has ties to Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam, an anti-White and anti-Jewish hate group.
“The Minneapolis Police Department has proven themselves beyond reform,” Rep. Omar tweeted. “It’s time to disband them…”
Democrats across the country are conspiring to leverage the George Floyd protests to further their radical agendas. Given these elected officials have ties to violent street gangs, communism, as well as domestic and foreign terror groups, hard-working Americans have reason to worry that communities could descend into lawlessness if Democrats succeed.
