The political candidate who has been dubbed a “threat to our democracy” by the establishment somehow just made the biggest fundraising haul in American history over the weekend. He sure seems popular for a guy who is going to cancel all future elections and declare himself Hitler for Life if he wins.
The anti-Trump rhetoric and fake political prosecutions are at a fever pitch right now, and we haven’t even reached the 2024 riot season yet! The good news is that the US Supreme Court will begin swatting down the fake prosecutions in just a matter of days—and we can’t wait!
Next week, the court will hear oral arguments in the Fischer v. United States case. This is the case over whether federal prosecutors can use the Enron document-shredding statute (USC 1512c2) to prosecute the January 6 protesters. More than 300 January 6ers have already had their lives destroyed by the misapplication of this statute, and at least one has committed suicide.
The whole thing is absurd. The Enron statute was designed to penalize people on Wall Street when they shred documents or destroy evidence that is under a federal subpoena. No January 6er did anything even vaguely close to that. Yet US Attorneys have successfully prosecuted January 6ers by arguing that they “corruptly” interrupted an “official proceeding,” which are some words used in the statute. Two of the four counts against President Trump in Washington, DC, are based on the Enron document-shredding law.
If the Supreme Court rules against this obvious misuse of a federal law, hundreds of January 6ers will be exonerated and two of the four counts against Trump in DC will be nuked from orbit.
The far more important case is the one related to presidential immunity. The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in that case on April 25th. It’s also a much more interesting case since it will impact all past and future presidents. It’s based on a simple question: Does Donald Trump have presidential immunity for all official acts that he took while he was in office—as every President since George Washington has enjoyed in this country—or is there a “Trump exception” to that?
The Supreme Court has already indicated that it is not impressed with the “Trump exception” to laws, despite the protestations of the Democrat Party and their media lapdogs. When the Colorado Supreme Court tried to use the “Trump exception” to keep him off the ballot in their state this year, the court bench-slapped that with a rare 9-0 decision. You can’t even convince Ketanji Brown Jackson that there’s a “Trump exception” to the law, and she’s confused over what a woman is.
The more that legal experts think about and weigh in on this case, the more likely it seems that the court is going to hand down another 9-0 decision. Either presidential immunity exists for all former presidents when it comes to their official actions, or it doesn’t exist for any of them. Donald Trump’s actions between the 2020 election and January 6th were all official. He was attempting to prevent the 2020 election from being stolen. Even though he did not succeed, this does not mean that his actions weren’t official.
If Donald Trump does not have presidential immunity, then neither does Barack Obama. In 2011, Obama deliberately killed two American citizens in a drone strike in Yemen. That was Anwar al-Awlaki and his 16-year-old son. They were not charged with a crime and were never put on trial. Obama straight-up murdered them and then claimed they were terrorists, and that we just had to take his word for it on this because the files were secret.
Obama murdered two Americans without due process. Are you really ready to open that can of worms, Democrats?
The same goes for George W. Bush, who launched the Iraq War on the pretext of lies about WMDs and did so without Congress declaring an official Act of War. Bush also had prisoners of war tortured in the Abu Ghraib prison.
But Donald Trump somehow doesn’t have immunity for challenging the 2020 election in court? Get real. If the Supreme Court makes the right decision in the immunity case, most of the charges against President Trump will go away, including the state RICO charges in Georgia. If Trump is really so awful, why can’t they just try to beat him in the election?
I’m of simple words. The Democratic party is the party destroying our country with every illegal weapon they come up against Donald Trump. They say he is running for office because he wants to destroy democracy in the US. However, it’s the Biden administration during the last three and half years that has lied, cheated and ignored the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Biden thinks he’s a King and does whatever he pleases with the approval of the far left extremists. Biden and his left wing army hate this country and even when he won the last election he said he was a moderate and that was just a lie. He is an extremest and is the worst president this country has ever had in office. He is a joke and embarrassment to our country and must be removed from office once and for all!!!
