As soon as Joe Biden was illegitimately installed in the White House in 2021, he unleashed the FBI to harass, annoy, intimidate, or even terrorize the Trump supporters who voted against him. One of the most obnoxious things that the Democrat Party’s Gestapo agents did was raid the safety deposit boxes of Trump supporters in Beverly Hills and steal their valuables.
Three years later, many of those people still haven’t received their stolen property back. A federal court has just ruled that two of the lawsuits against the FBI robbers can move forward.
We’ve been covering this story for the past three years now. While most people are familiar with the 90210 zip code in Beverly Hills because of that dumb TV show years ago, what they don’t know is that this part of Los Angeles County has a heavy presence of Trump supporters. Back during the 2020 campaign, there were impromptu Trump street parties, car parades, and other fun events happening frequently, which we noted at the time.
In the 2020 election, Joe Biden won a majority of the votes in Beverly Hills—but 90210 was the one zip code in all of LA County where it wasn’t a landslide. Biden beat Trump by less than 10 points there.
Right next to the 90210 zip code, as you drop down out of the mansions in the hills, there was a private security company called US Private Vaults. It was a high-tech storage facility where the ritzy Beverly Hills residents—and some of the largest individual Trump donors in the country—rented safety deposit boxes to store their valuables.
US Private Vaults had been under investigation for money laundering for some time before this. The FBI finally obtained a warrant to search the premises in March of 2021. The warrant specifically stated that FBI agents were not allowed to crack open the safety deposit boxes of US Private Vaults’ clients when carrying out the search.
The FBI ignored the warrant. The agents cracked open hundreds of safety deposit boxes—knowing full well that many were being rented by MAGA voters—and stole everything. They didn’t even catalog the contents properly as evidence. Surveillance video of the raid showed FBI agents stuffing gold coins in their pockets.
None of the people renting those safety deposit boxes had anything to do with the alleged criminal activities of US Private Vaults. The FBI agents stole precious metals, family heirloom jewelry, important documents like wills and birth certificates—all the kinds of stuff that ritzy clients keep in safety deposit boxes.
These people were not suspects in any crime, and the FBI stole millions of dollars worth of cash and other items from them. Most of the customers still haven’t received their stolen property back from the FBI and have been trying to sue the bureau for three years now.
In a January ruling, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals likened the FBI’s actions to British colonial-era writs of assistance—a form of government abuse that led to the American Revolution and the Bill of Rights.
“It was those very abuses of power, after all, that led to adoption of the Fourth Amendment in the first place,” the court ruled.
A married couple named Jeni Pearsons and Michael Storc have been trying to sue the FBI all this time, but the Department of Justice keeps getting courts to stall or delay any legal action against the bureau. The FBI initially stole $20,000 in silver and $2,000 in cash from them. The silver was eventually returned, but not the cash.
Another person attempting to sue is a retiree named Donald Mellein. The FBI stole 110 gold coins from his safety deposit box but only gave 47 back. The other 63 that went “missing” were valued at more than $100,000.
A judge has now ruled that these two lawsuits against the federal government can proceed. However, the judge dismissed all claims against the FBI official in charge of the raid, who instructed the agents to illegally breach all the boxes and steal their contents. Therefore, there won’t be any individual accountability for the FBI robbers, even if the plaintiffs get their property back from the government.
It’s a travesty that it’s taken all these years for these people just to get the right to sue the FBI to attempt to get their stolen property back. But that’s life in America under Joe Biden.
