GOP House Rep Wears “Let’s Go Brandon” Mask on House Floor in Ultimate Slam on Biden

South Carolina Republican Rep. Jeff Duncan showed up to work Monday wearing his new “Let’s Go Brandon” mask. The move could be deemed inappropriate elsewhere, but in Duncan’s case, he sat in the same room as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats, offering the ultimate slam on President Joe Biden without saying a word.

The “Let’s Go Brandon” phrase turned into a viral sensation as the biggest fake news swipe of the year. An NBC reporter interviewing NASCAR race winner Brandon Brown faced loud chants in the background.

She claimed the fans were shouting, “Let’s go Brandon!” They were clearly chanting, “F*** Joe Biden!”

The “Let’s Go Brandon” chant quickly hit the New York Jets stadium, Major League Baseball playoffs, and has since become a more subtle way of showing disdain for Biden’s losing approach to leading the nation.

Duncan is the first congressman to bring the viral message onto the House floor.

The image of Duncan in the mask has quickly spread on social media. Duncan posted a picture of himself in the “Let’s God Brandon” mask on his Instagram account. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the post includes an information pop up saying, “Visit the COVID-19 Information Center for vaccine resources.” The post also adds, “Comments on this post have been limited.” It is unclear if posted were limited by Duncan or by Instagram.

The phrase has also led to a hit rap song by the same name as the phrase by Bryson Gray. Despite being banned from YouTube and Instagram, the track hit #1 on iTunes on Sunday.

It’s lyrics share, in part, “Look at Australia, that’s what’s comin’ next if we don’t stand up /
Stop complyin’ with them takin’ our rights, it’s time to man up / ‘Publicans votin’ for red flag laws, that’s just what I can’t trust / If you ask questions ’bout the vax, then they gonna ban us (it’s true)”

A second song by the same name by rapper Loza Alexander has also appeared. But be warned, Alexander’s version includes explicit lyrics.

Duncan has increasingly grown vocal in his opposition to censorship. He also tweeted the same day he wore the “Let’s Go Brandon” mask, “The Taliban is allowed to tweet freely yet US Congressman and Afghanistan vet @RepJimBanks is shut down for calling a biological man a man. Big Tech has gone too far. This is just plain wrong.”

He has also blasted Biden over his failure in leaving Americans in Afghanistan while flying illegal immigrants across the country during the night. “And, just let it sink in that this president flies illegal immigrants into our country but is not flying out Americans behind enemy lines in Afghanistan,” Duncan tweeted last week.

Duncan’s action will certainly be remembered, and that may be a good thing. Conservatives need to do more to generate some noise and get something done concerning Biden’s ongoing failures as president.

  1. GREAT, if I didn’t live in Florida, I would want one….but we don’t have to wear a silly mask down here if you don’t want one, thanks to Gov DeSantis.
