Every ‘conservative’ commentator of a particular ilk this week is saying a version of: “You know… I never did like that Trump guy anyway! He was never my first choice. You know who I like? That Ron DeSantis guy down in Florida! I really like the cut of his jib! He should announce that he’s running for president and have a big fight with Trump because he’ll win! DeSantis is the future and Trump is the past and Tuesday night proves it!”
Could I just offer up a suggestion to every pro commentator? If you find yourself agreeing with Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, Joe Scarborough, and John Kerry… maybe it’s time for a pause and some deep introspection. To everyone else, I’ll just say: “Don’t fall for the gaslighting.”
One thing I’ve noticed in all the post-mortems after Tuesday night’s non-wave election is that there’s a definite line that is being drawn that separates Trump supporters from people who were secretly Never Trumpers all along. Anyone who is rushing to blame Donald Trump for Tuesday night’s non-performance by the GOP is not paying attention to what’s going on right now.
Why is the vote-counting frozen in amber in places like Arizona, Colorado and Oregon? If you don’t see what’s happening right now, in this very moment, then your head is in the sand, and you are in denial about the times we’re living in. We’re being told that we probably won’t have results in Rep. Lauren Boehbert’s race in Colorado until sometime next week.
“Jedediah Codswallup has to load the ballots onto his mule and carry them through a mountain pass before the snow flies, so he can deliver them to be counted!”
Are you kidding me?
On Wednesday, the day after the election was supposed to happen, it took Maricopa County 4.5 hours to count 2,000 ballots. In an election in a state with 3 million people. You could have taken 2,000 ballots to a daycare, taught a group of toddlers how to count, and had them count the 2,000 ballots faster than Maricopa County election workers.
They’re cheating. Let me type it louder: THEY’RE CHEATING. THE ELECTION IS BEING STOLEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES ONCE AGAIN.
Anyone who jumps to blame Donald Trump for Tuesday night’s elections without acknowledging the cheating that’s going on right now is full of it.
Lauren Boehbert is losing in Colorado after two big dumps of ballots that happened in the middle of the night. She lives in a deep red district. Democrats do not win her district. Every poll had her leaps and bounds ahead of her opponent. The website FiveThirty Eight gave her a 97% chance of victory. And now she might lose her seat. Yeah, makes total sense, sure.
In Oregon, the Democrats are going like gangbusters to count the ballots there. They’re at 73%. Christine Drazan, the first Republican to stand a chance at actually upsetting the Democrat hegemony there, was in a virtual tie with the Democrat frontrunner Tina Kotek for most of Wednesday. Kotek is now pulling ahead, thanks to the counting taking so long.
At one point, Kotek had 467,001 votes to Drazan’s 457,999 votes. Nothing weird about those totally organic numbers! Couldn’t be that the machines that take a week to count the votes accidentally spit out two perfectly round numbers, so they shuffled one from Drazan’s column to Kotek’s!
Michigan Governor Crazy-Eyes Whitmer pulled ahead of the upstart Republican challenging her, thanks to the counting stopping in the middle of the night until two major ballot dumps could take place.
72% of Americans say they’re completely miserable because of the way the country is headed right now. So, they decided to vote for more misery on Tuesday night. And it’s Trump’s fault. Does that make sense? Does that sound sane or rational or normal? There should have been a red wave on Tuesday night. The fact that there was not a red wave, and the fact that all these close races in the same states are still dragging their feet with the oh-so-difficult job of counting, means that they’re cheating.
The RNC came out on Tuesday night and told voters in Arizona, don’t worry anyone, we’re going to sue Maricopa County if any shenanigans start. We’ve got this covered!
They sued on Tuesday with an emergency motion and… lost.
That’s Trump’s fault? Up yours.
Until the Republican Party gets new leadership, or the current leadership finally starts to admit that our elections are being stolen, this isn’t going to change. How come the wave of Hispanic voters turning to the GOP didn’t turn this into an absolute tsunami on Tuesday night? If you’re being honest, you know the answer. They cheated and they’re still cheating, and they’re going to keep cheating until the people at the top start calling it out.
