Pelosi to Finally Retire Following 2022 Midterms, According to New Report

The Washington Post reported on Monday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is expected to “step down” after the 2022 midterm elections.

In addition to confirming her likely retirement, the report also speculated regarding who would replace her as the party’s top House leader.

“Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) is the early favorite to become the next Democratic leader, but the maneuvering for power has just begun,” the report said.

Other leaders noted in the article included Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), and Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC).

The battle to be the Democrat party’s next leader may not need to include a new House Speaker. With two dozen or more House Democrats retiring or running for another office, Republicans expect to win power in the House and put Pelosi out of her current role.

The news brings a smile to the faces of conservative Americans who have long hoped for the departure of Pelosi and her anti-American policies.

However, the Post’s article pushed new leadership options among the left that could provide even more radical leaders to take her place in the days ahead.

Rather than heeding the advice given through the results of 2021’s major elections, it looks like Democrats plan to push even farther to the left. Will Democrats really continue to push open borders, label voting integrity as racism, push parents out of school decisions and run on diversity to the point of its own death?

So far, it looks like this could be the case. The only way to stop the damage is to replace Democrats with leaders who actually care about what Americans really want. But just gaining a majority in the House and even the Senate will not be enough. Republicans will have to actually do something to stop Biden’s radical agenda and prepare the way for a pro-America president to take his place in 2024.

Trump is still the most likely candidate, though some conservatives would prefer someone else. In either case, Biden or his Democrat replacement in 2024 cannot be left to run the nation for four more years. One year has felt like 20 in terms of inflation, vaccine mandates, supply chain crisis, and the dwindling of affordable housing. Let’s pray we can all survive another 3 years under Biden’s “leadership.”

Nancy Pelosi leaving Congress is one step in the right direction to get Americans back their freedoms, but others with her view will take over unless Americans speak out and elect leaders who will act on behalf of America’s people rather than whoever funds their campaign. Let’s hope Pelosi is really ready to say her goodbyes as conservatives win back power in the House to turn the direction of the nation’s policies.
