An Iowa field organizer for the Bernie Sanders 2020 campaign is now under investigation by the Secret Service, for reportedly making a credible assassination threat against President Donald Trump.
And it’s not just any “Bernie Bro” being investigated – it’s a rabid Bernie supporter that many Americans now know by name: Kyle Jurek. He’s the Bernie field organizer that Project Veritas got close to and recorded for its latest undercover journalism project.
Jurek is the main speaker in several new Project Veritas videos. If you haven’t seen any of them yet, they’re definitely worth a few minutes of your time.
Jurek patiently explains to an undercover Project Veritas staffer that when Bernie becomes president, Trump supporters will have to be placed in reeducation camps or gulags. Because actual Nazis in Germany had to be “reeducated” after World War II, Jurek naturally concludes that all of us “Trump Nazis” will have to be “reeducated” too.
Besides, Jurek proclaims, the gulags weren’t that bad anyway. Prisoners were allowed conjugal visits for Pete’s sake!
Jurek adds that when Bernie offers “free education” to voters, this is what he’s really talking about – YOUR “free” reeducation in a gulag.
In addition, Jurek says “Milwaukee will burn” if the DNC steals the nomination from Bernie Sanders again.
Nice guy.
A second Bernie staffer was also recorded by Project Veritas. Martin Weissgerber is a South Carolina field organizer for Bernie 2020. Martin is less Soviet in his outlook on life and tends more toward a French historical solution rather than gulags.
Martin envisions the House and Senate being dissolved completely, leaving benevolent dictator Bernie in charge of the whole country. Oh, and he wants to kill his political enemies with a guillotine.
As of this writing, Project Veritas was in the process of unveiling videos over several days of what these average, run-of-the-mill Bernie supporters really believe. For example, another video they released shows Kyle Jurek once again, only this time declaring that Bernie Sanders is not a true “democratic socialist.”
That’s a masquerade, according to Jurek. He says Bernie is a real socialist-socialist, much like Fidel Castro, Josef Stalin or Hugo Chavez. So, it’s kind of a “Cherokee” Elizabeth Warren situation.
But then something happened which caused Project Veritas to interrupt its usual video-drops-over-several-days operating procedure. As of this writing, Project Veritas says it was informed by someone (their whistleblower inside the Bernie campaign, I suspect) that Kyle Jurek has become a danger and is actively plotting to assassinate President Trump. Project Veritas notified the Secret Service immediately.
We don’t know for certain, but when you think about it, there’s a very good chance that Project Veritas has Jurek talking about the plot on camera. We may get to see the video eventually, after any “chat” that the Secret Service wants to have with Jurek takes place. Sounds serious.
We do know, however, that this is a new and breaking development. Otherwise, Project Veritas would have made the announcement of Secret Service involvement at the same time as the very first video drop.
Here’s another thing that sounds serious. Bernie hasn’t fired Kyle Jurek or Martin Weissgerber. The only response from the campaign has been to dismiss reputable Project Veritas reporting as “internet gossip.” Oh, and the entire Bernie campaign staff in Iowa has locked all their social media accounts.
I find it especially worrying that Bernie has not fired either one of these little Stalinists. It’s one thing for the boss to show loyalty to employees, which is usually an admirable trait. But when those employees are talking about violent revolution, burning cities, locking up political opponents in gulags or just outright murdering them in the name of Karl Marx, that’s another thing entirely.
Maybe Bernie is refusing to fire Jurek and Weissgerber because then he would have to fire all of his staffers in Iowa and South Carolina – because all of his staffers hold the same twisted views as Jurek and Weissgerber.
Let’s not forget, it was a passionate Bernie Sanders supporter who attempted to assassinate Republican Members of Congress at a baseball practice back in 2017. James Hodgkinson grievously wounded GOP Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) and nearly killed him. Bernie shucked off the blame for that attack at the time by claiming that every political campaign is liable to have a few crazies on it that the candidate doesn’t know about. True, but what’s Bernie’s excuse this time?
