The Deep State Strikes Again: GAO Says Administration Broke the Law by withholding Ukraine Aid Funds

The biggest problem with the Democrats’ phony impeachment articles is that they don’t allege any high crimes and misdemeanors or bribery. If Adam Schiff thought he could prove anything, he would have included all that.

He didn’t. In place of a strong case, Schiff and his gaggle of phonies hide behind bellicose assertions that there is “overwhelming evidence” that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump broke the law and should be removed from office.

Normal, reasonable people scratch their head and ask, “How can there be a crime when the act never occurred? Didn’t he just put a temporary hold on Ukrainian aid money while he looked into corruption allegations? Where’s the pressure and bribery when the Ukrainian president said it didn’t happen?”

So, apparently realizing that the articles probably should have included a crime, Senate Democrat Chris Van Holden sent a letter to his deep state friends over at the Government Accounting Office asking for an opinion. In his letter he made it easy for the GAO to agree with him. He said he believed President Trump’s decision violated the law.

So, on the exact day that the Senate received the articles of impeachment, the GAO released a finding that the Trump administration “broke the law” by withholding Ukrainian aid.

To the mainstream press and the Democrats desperate to add at least some heft to their flimsy articles, the GAO opinion was a finding bearing all the weight of a Supreme Court decree. However, the White House has repeatedly asserted that it followed the rules. Even so, the money was released in mid-September.

This was a classic case of bureaucratic overreach and more evidence of deep state bias against President Trump. The GAO jumped into a political fray and on the side of those who wanted to impeach the President.

The GAO is supposed to be a non-partisan, independent agency that serves Congress. But they aren’t. The PAC that supports the bureaucrats who work for the agency gave 100% of its donations to Democrats in 2016 and 0% to Republicans.

In the meantime, mainstream news media piped in to help out the Democrat cause: Trump broke the law! The GAO says so. Said the usual lamebrained Democrats, “We’re going to need more witnesses here.”

Yes, the media also reported that the White House pushed back. What the media left out was the part about how the GAO timed their report to do maximum damage to President Trump.

President Trump has repeatedly stated that he didn’t want to send $400 million to a country mired in oligarchical corruption. He saw that corruption personified by the son of a sitting Vice President sitting on the board of Ukrainian energy company. Hunter Biden was under investigation. Joe Biden threatened to withhold aid unless the investigator was fired.

Yes, Joe Biden is a leading Democrat candidate and he wants President Trump’s job. But everyone is missing an important point here: Joe Biden and his son Hunter are up to their armpits with that sleazy Ukrainian crowd. If Biden were to become President, he or his family might be vulnerable to Russian or Ukrainian blackmail.

Sure, it would be personally beneficial for President Trump to demand an investigation. But it wouldn’t be the first time that the interests of a President align with those the country he is trying to protect. That’s why we elected the guy.

Joe Biden openly bragged about blackmailing and extorting the Ukrainian government. That was the real crime. Schiff and Pelosi stand behind the curtain and insist that we exonerate Sleepy Joe and pay no attention to our own lying ears and eyes.
