The anniversary of January 6 has come and gone, and as expected, it was one giant Schiff show. Hysteria from the Democrat Party was so over-the-top that it’s almost not worth mentioning. Kamala Harris compared it to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, two sneak attacks that claimed the lives of 5,400 Americans. The whole thing was gross. Just you wait: They’ll be building a statue of the cop who murdered Ashli Babbitt before this is all through. One thing that’s gotten lost in the past year of hysteria over the mostly peaceful protest that took place that day was the wisdom that Rush Limbaugh shared with America during his final days on the airwaves.
We lost Rush to lung cancer in February of last year, but he was still on the air when January 6th happened. Here’s what he had to say on January 7, 2021:
“There’s a lot of people calling for the end of violence. There’s a lot of conservatives, social media, who say that any violence or aggression at all is unacceptable. Regardless of the circumstances. I’m glad Sam Adams, Thomas Paine, the actual tea party guys, the men at Lexington and Concord didn’t feel that way.”
Rush went on to describe the protesters as “Americans who have gotten fed up with having the election stolen from them by the Democrats.”
How many Republicans in Congress have had the courage to stand up and express that sentiment recently? I can think of three or four. But most of them seem content to pretend that January 6 was an actual coup attempt, rather than a constitutionally protected protest against the certification of fraudulent electoral college votes after a stolen election. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) went so far as to refer to January 6th as a “violent terrorist attack.”
Way to not assess the situation accurately at all, Ted Cruz!
Here’s another thing that Rush Limbaugh pegged correctly during his January 7 broadcast. He pointed out that some of the protesters were “undoubtedly … some Antifa Democrat-sponsored instigators.”
Boy, did he nail that one!
Just this week, we learned that DC Metro police had multiple encounters with armed Antifa members on January 6th – and let them go. And when I say “armed,” I don’t mean grandmas with knitting needles or retired Navy officers carrying walking canes that the Department of Justice described as “deadly weapons” carried by “insurrectionists.” The Antifa members had firearms, unlike the peaceful protesters who streamed into the Capitol building after the doors were opened and the police took down the “No Entry Allowed” signs.
The Gateway Pundit is reporting on one of these Antifa encounters with the cops that day. Three known Antifa members who had driven to DC to stir up trouble on January 6th were stopped by the DC Metro police. The police asked them if they had any firearms in their vehicle. The Antifa thugs lied and said no. When police searched their trunk, sure enough, they found a loaded gun. And then they let them go. The cops even let them keep their gun, despite Washington, DC having some of the most draconian anti-gun laws on the books in the entire country. The cops weren’t after gun-toting domestic terrorists in Antifa that day; their targets were Trump supporters in red hats.
Limbaugh was absolutely correct in not condemning the actions of the January 6ers. What in the world were they supposed to do? Every institution that was supposed to protect us against having an election stolen from the people had failed us. 60 separate court cases launched by the Trump campaign and allies were dismissed without hearing any of the evidence of fraud. The Department of Justice did not swoop in and secure the voting machines in Pennsylvania, even when a US Attorney informed Bill Barr that he had solid evidence that the machines had delivered a false vote count in that state. Five swing states stopped counting the votes at the exact same time on election night – and then Trump’s victories in each of those states were suddenly overturned when the counting resumed.
There are only two ways that political power is decided. We can have fair elections, or power will be doled out by bloodshed. That’s it. If you take the voice away from the people by foisting an obvious fraud like 81-million vote-getter Joe Biden on us, things are going to get messy. The people won’t put up with this much longer.
Oh, and… we miss you, Rush.
