The defamation lawsuit against President Trump by porn star and stripper, Stephanie Clifford, (AKA Stormy Daniels) has been dismissed by the judge. The case had given the left wing media a heck of a lot of undeserved ammunition, and now Trump is vindicated.
More delicious still, is the fact that the judge said Daniels has to pay Trump’s legal fees. Trump’s legal team issued the following statement in response to the decision:
“United States District Judge S. James Otero issued an order and ruling today dismissing Stormy Daniels’ defamation lawsuit against President Trump. The ruling also states that the President is entitled to an award of his attorneys’ fees against Stormy Daniels…No amount of spin or commentary by Stormy Daniels or her lawyer, Mr. Avenatti, can truthfully characterize today’s ruling in any way other than total victory for President Trump and total defeat for Stormy Daniels. The amount of the award for President Trump’s attorneys’ fees will be determined at a later date.”
Daniels’ attorney, Michael “spider eyes” Avenatti issued a tweet responding to the dismissal, saying: “We will appeal the dismissal of the defamation cause of action and are confident in a reversal.”
He later tweeted out:
Re Judge’s limited ruling: Daniels’ other claims against Trump and Cohen proceed unaffected. Trump’s contrary claims are as deceptive as his claims about the inauguration attendance.
We will appeal the dismissal of the defamation cause of action and are confident in a reversal.

Late in the proceedings, Trump’s legal team made the case that it didn’t make sense to continue battling it out in court over a one-time hush money payment to Daniels of $130,000. They said that Daniels broke the agreement when she broke her silence.
What’s more, Trump never signed any agreement. The arrangement between Daniels and Trump was purely verbal, and not documented in any way. Trump has not tried to enforce the agreement as if it had been an actual contract.
And finally, even if the agreement had been formalized in any way, Daniels would have broken the agreement by going public with the facts of her sexual encounter/s with the president.
Avenatti’s career as a professional Trump smear jockey has been pretty rocky in recent weeks. Old “spider eyes” went from being the left’s favorite bald monkey during the most exciting parts of Daniels’ defamation suit. But since the case has started getting a bit long in the tooth, he’s been little more than just another straight white man in the eyes of CNN viewers. That’s a bit like being a red headed stepchild.
Worse yet for the creepy porn lawyer is the fact that the left, which once loved him so dearly, is now being treated as a scapegoat for the Kavanaugh nomination. He started taking fire for his ham-handed attempt to contribute to the series of unsubstantiated allegations. Old spider eyes showed up at the last minute with an even more incensed woman claiming to be the victim of one of Judge Kavanaugh’s “gang rape parties.”
That final attempt to sully Kavanaugh’s name is seen as over the top by some of the Democrats involved- effectively over-egging the anti-due process pudding.
But Avenatti says he and Daniels have more legal turd bombs to lob at Trump. After Trump’s staggering victory in the defamation case, it’s unlikely that anything he and Daniels may throw at him will stick.
Worse still, is the fact that Avenatti’s fundraising effort for a Texas Democrat has failed in disgrace. Brendan Fischer of the Daily Beast said this about Avenatti’s now deleted fundraising page:
“It is pretty skeezy. If Avenatti wanted to raise funds for Beto O’Rourke’s campaign, he could just share a link to the Beto for Senate donation page. But he didn’t. Avenatti’s tweet gave viewers the impression their donation would support Beto for Senate, and given how easy it is to make a one-click donation through ActBlue, some viewers could miss the fine print disclosing that their donation would be split with Avenatti’s PAC.”
Avenatti attempted to defend himself by saying that Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren also siphon funds off of donations to parties that they support. The creepy porn lawyer called the barb “complete nonsense.” But it’s a pretty weak defense in light of the fact that Warren has now earned herself the nickname ‘Lie-awatha’ after her DNA test came back negative for Native American ancestry.
We can probably expect to have heard the last of old ‘spider eyes’ Avenatti real soon.
