President Biden’s State of the Union speech proved to be such a failure, that the administration is now pushing a false narrative claiming that voters fell head over heels for Biden’s gaffe spilled speech.
Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain, has led the propaganda campaign, bragging that 78% of voters approved of the president’s speech – a number that was a blatant lie.
Klain cited a CBS News poll for his statistic but the poll actually showed that the actual number was 78% of people who watched the address expressed approval, but its worth noting that viewership was dominated by Democrats and even then was down severely from years past.
CBS News admitted, “As we’ve seen with previous presidents’ State of the Union speeches, those who watched tonight are more likely to be from the president’s own political party, boosting approval of the speech.”
Even a data journalist with CBS News came out and criticized Klain for his blatant inaccuracy; Kabir Khanna, a data journalist with CBS News on the network’s Decision Desk/Election & Survey Unit, tweeted, “Looks like someone choosing fiction over science… We conducted a poll of self-reported speech watchers across the country, not voters.”
President Biden’s address drew in an embarrassingly low 32.3 million viewers across all major networks which is odd for the President who supposedly secured 81 million votes in 2020.
In 2020, President Trump attracted an audience of nearly 49 million.
Polling also revealed that Biden’s remarks received a much lower overall rating than his two predecessors.
Out of Americans who watched according to CNN, only 41% said they felt very positive about Biden’s remarks.
CNN noted that Biden received the lowest “very positive” score CNN has seen in about 15 years of instant polling after presidents’ State of the Union addresses.
In 2018, when Trump gave his first address, 48% of Americans who watched his speech said they felt very positive about it. Obama got the same 48% positive results in his first State of the Union in 2010. Both results are seven points higher than Biden’s 41%.
Meanwhile, Biden’s job approval continues to sink. Currently, his job approval sits just under 41%, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. A majority of Americans also disapprove of the way Biden is doing the job right now coming in at 54%.
All of these things considered, its no shocker that the Biden administration would be deploying the Marxist tactic of trying to control the narrative.
Klain, for his part, has a history of being criticized for his work with the administration.
The Daily Wire reported near the end of January that Klain was “taking heat from moderate Democrats and leaders in Congress over President Joe Biden’s failure to move key administrative priorities forward.”
According to reports, “Klain is widely seen as a friend to the progressive wing of the party that pushes ideas such as universal healthcare and defunding police departments. The White House chief of staff’s apparent cozy disposition toward the Democratic Party’s extreme Left has soured many of the party’s moderate members.”
