Meet The New White House Press Secretary: Stephanie Grisham

Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ replacement has been found. Stephanie Grisham has been named, by President Trump, as the new White House press secretary.

The news was first announced when Melania Trump, announced the departure of her own personal communication’s director. Grisham had served faithfully for several years as the First Lady’s communications director.

To appoint someone to a higher level position that has worked well for you in the past says a lot about both the First Lady’s character as well as Mrs. Grisham’s. Mrs. Trump was obviously confident enough Grisham would do a well enough job to put her up for the high ranking position.

In addition to being the White House press secretary, Grisham will function as the White House’s communication’s director. This additional role has been vacant for the last 3 months following Bill Shine’s resignation. This role had previously been Sean Spicer’s, then it went to Anthony Scaramucci for a tumultuous two weeks. After that Trump appointed Hope Hicks who ultimately resigned.

Stephanie Grisham first teamed up with the Trumps in 2015 as they campaigned across America for the presidency of the United States. She was ultimately named to be an aide to the First Lady after proving herself on the campaign trail.

Grisham has proven herself to the Trump’s on more than one occasion. She brilliantly rebuffed Rudy Giuliani’s claims about President Trump’s affair with a carefully crafted message. She’s obviously not afraid to speak her mind as she performs her duties. She has been a person that has earned the trust that has been given to her by the first family.

The press secretary has to be a person that is not afraid to stand up to the media while at the same time protecting the President from media lunacy as they seek to provide fake news stories to the American people. Sarah Huckabee Sanders did this job very well as she implemented exactly what the president wanted to see and expected from this position. She knew that the president did not like formal briefings so Sanders made it her mission to see that they were phased out over time.

Grisham will need to bring her own flair to the position in order to make it her own. There is no doubt that she will be able to do so as she has often been very direct with people that are seeking to confront the president or his family. The White House press secretary position has been in development since President Trump took office. Grisham will be the third person to hold the position since 2016.

Stephanie Grisham seems to be a person that automatically goes to the defense of the president and his wife without having to be told. She has been known to release statements that have set the record straight or provided much-needed information to help clarify stories that have been spun in a direction designed to hurt the first family.

Originally from Arizona, Grisham has been working with the Republican Party for several years. The only knock we could find on her was that she was charged several years ago with driving under the influence. While that is reprehensible, Grisham didn’t add to the drama by fleeing the scene or lying to cops. She admitted her mistakes and took the necessary actions to make them right. She even disclosed all of this information to the White House, instead of leaving them to find out about it.

Overall, picking someone who has a positive track record of working with the Trump’s is a good sign Grisham will do well at her position. Certainly if the First Lady has enough confidence in her to pass her name along to her husband for consideration, then we all should too.
