Anti-Trump Impeachment Shrew Gets Million-Dollar Book Deal

Yet another Deep State anti-Trump shrew has snatched up a million-dollar book deal in exchange for betraying her country. Sorry, I meant to say, “for her stunning act of bravery that cost her everything.” Former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch is being paid an advance well north of a million bucks for a book she hasn’t even written yet.

But whatever, we all know it’s another payoff from the liberal/globalist establishment for assisting in Trump’s impeachment, even though her efforts failed. Once again, a liberal who has done nothing that a normal person would consider to be a “sacrifice” is being treated as a courageous martyr.

After directing US intelligence assets in Ukraine to spy on American journalists who were uppity enough to ask questions about Joe and Hunter Biden, Marie Yovanovitch was recalled from her post by the Trump administration and ultimately fired.

The former ambassador then became one of the parade of impeachment “witnesses” called before Adam Schiff’s committee who had not actually seen or heard President Trump commit any crimes. The media adored her. They saw a strong, independent woman who had been devastated and had her good character smeared by the evil Trump. Most Americans saw a woman who probably gets a bit snippy with the servants if she finds a speck of dust on her art collection.

The mainstream media conclusion was unanimous. Yovanovitch had lost everything for “telling the truth.” (A “truth” which, oddly enough, didn’t prove that Trump had done anything impeachable.)

For her efforts, Yovanovitch will now be paid more than $1 million by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), the same multibillion-dollar company that writes all of the Common Core textbooks in public schools. The book will “deliver pointed reflections on the issues confronting America today, and thoughts on how we can shore up our democracy,” according to HMH.

To put that into comparison, the average non-fiction book advance, if you’re lucky enough to land a contract with one of the big liberal-dominated New York publishing houses, is around $30,000. Apparently, liberal “sacrifices” are worth big bucks.

Another anti-Trump liberal who “lost everything” for her “bravery,” of course, was Christine Blasey-Ford. The media told us that Christine Blasey-Ford “had nothing to gain” by making up her allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. How’s she doing today? Is she picking up cans out of the trash after she paid such a huge sacrifice?

No, of course not. In fact, the financial coddling of Christine Blasey-Ford actually started before she lied in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. We just didn’t find out about it until after the fact.

Remember how Blasey-Ford asked the Judiciary Committee to postpone her testimony because she would have to drive across the country – because she had a fear of flying due to her encounter with Brett Kavanaugh that didn’t happen 30 years ago? It turns out she flew to the hearing, but she didn’t fly commercial.

A pair of Silicon Valley tech oligarchs lent her the use of their private plane to fly to the hearing, so she wouldn’t have to be around any deplorables on her flight. Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, and Mark Pincus, the founder of game company Zynga, loaned her the use of their plane to fly to the hearing. They even hired a special stewardess just for that flight, so Blasey-Ford wouldn’t have to speak to the icky pilots flying the private jet.

Cheryl Sandberg, the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, recommended the team of attorneys who represented Blasey-Ford at the hearing. Sandberg’s sister is friends with one of Blasey-Ford’s friends.

In addition, Blasey-Ford raked in more than a million dollars from crowdfunding donations for testifying against Kavanaugh. Because – ha! – she had nothing to gain. Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Blasey-Ford has been entertaining several book offers in a bidding war for her “story.”

Yovanovitch will now join the long list of “authors” who have cashed in on their opposition to Trump, including James Comey, John Bolton, Andrew McCabe, and that crazy lady who claimed that Trump raped her in a department store dressing room a hundred years ago.

Yovanovitch is represented by the same literary agency that handled Comey and Bolton’s books, because of course she is. But don’t worry – there’s no such thing as a Deep State.
