HBO’s Bill Maher told podcast host Joe Rogan that Democrats are “going to get their a** kicked in November.”
During a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Maher said that he has not gotten more conservative, but instead that the “Left that has gotten goofier.”
The two talked about how five years ago, no one was saying terms like “pregnant men,” and now that’s what he hears from the Left and Democrats. They agreed that what people “hunger” for is “common sense.”
“I think it’s because we are both seen as people who are common-sensical,” Maher shared. “And that is what there is a hunger for, I think, in America more than anything, is common sense. Away from the extremes.”
“People say to me, ‘Don’t you think you’ve gotten more conservative?’ No, I haven’t,” Maher continued. “The Left has gotten goofier. So, I seem more conservative, maybe. But like, it’s not me who changed.
“I feel I’m the same guy, but five years ago we hadn’t spent $6 trillion to stay home. I mean, I understand we had to do something with the pandemic. I’m not sure… we didn’t spend a trillion to bail out the economy in 2008.”
“Five years ago, no one was talking about abolishing the police,” Maher continued. “There was no talk about pregnant men. I mean, looting was still illegal. So, like have I changed? No, because if someone had said 20 years ago ‘I’m not sure looting is a bad thing,’ I would’ve opposed it then. So, I haven’t changed.”
Maher noted that he would always tell the Democrats “just don’t be the party of no common sense,” and he said they would be surprised how well that would work out for them.
“As opposed to what’s going to happen, which is they’re going to get their a** kicked in November,” Maher shared.
Rogan said Maher was important to him because he defines “what it means, to me, to be liberal” because he’s just a “normal person who cares about people’s rights and wants a certain amount of freedom.”
Rogan went on to explain how Maher just wants “people to get along and work things out amicably,” but the “polarization” in the country has made it so that people like him are “rare.”
He added “not talking to people who you disagree with” is a crazy idea that’s just going to result in “galvanizing” them as we get more “associated” with this idea of “Left and Right and good and bad.”
Later on in the show, Rogan touched on the fact that some corporations have begun “leaning into woke hardcore” and Maher said its because they’re “petrified of some kind of backlash.”
“I mean Disney, one of the most gay-friendly companies that we’ve had in a very long time,” Maher shared.
“Corporations, I think yes, are always going to want to… Look, I am glad they are progressive thinking, but of course like everything on the Left these days, they just take it too far.”
Disney’s wokeness has reached new heights, recently, as they have come out in defense of grooming pre-k through third grade children to make them comfortable with sexual content.
And so they should get their asses busted! They put a loonytunes moron in the Oval Office that should be impeached immediately before he does any further damage.
