Presumptive Democrat nominee for president, Joe Biden, has changed course and thrown in with the radical left to push a platform that puts China first, and American working families dead last.
Biden has amassed a political body of work that stinks of bigotry and outsourcing blue-collar jobs, while his family members secured millions from foreign interests. The Green New Deal and socialist agenda of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) would put his anti-American policies on steroids.
Putting forward campaign promises that are a mixture of lies to garner swing-voters and a new alliance to liberal extremism, the one consistent factor in Biden’s political career that began in 1970 is that he cannot be trusted. Among the hot-button policy shifts outlined in the “Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force” include financially discredited Medicare-For-All, Green New Deal, and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Adopting Sen. Sanders Medicare-for-All program would send taxes on working families through the roof to the tune of $32 trillion. Other Biden allies, namely liberal Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, plan to fund Green New Deal initiatives through government spending, not necessarily the private sector.
“He seized one of the powerful tools of government, the fact that it’s called procurement. It is the fact that the government buys a lot of stuff. Think about it. Our federal government buys steel to build battleships, and it buys toilet paper to put in federal office buildings,” Sen Warren reportedly said. “It is a huge buyer, one of the biggest in the world. And he’s using that leverage in his plan to say, we’re going to buy green. Think of what that will mean, to create more market, more green manufacturing, green jobs through the economy.”
Everyday Americans are acutely aware that government grossly overspends on its purchases. That means funding the so-called Green New Deal through federal spending will only add insult to injury.
Embedded in Biden’s liberal extremist platform is an obvious lie. After a 50-year career in politics, with more than 30 spent in the U.S. Senate and eight in the White House, Biden has consistently helped export American companies and jobs to China. It’s no accident that the communist regime manufacturers more than 70 percent of the world’s solar panels and other so-called green products. It’s also no accident that Biden’s son, Hunter, worked with high-ranking Chinese Communist Party officials to become super wealthy at a time when the Obama-Biden administration offered them a lucrative trade deal that hurt American workers.
Under President Donald Trump, the country experienced 50-year low unemployment, and historic lows for blacks and Latinos until the pandemic shuttered the economy. Biden now proposes to level taxes that would stifle these gains and send that money to China.
Not only does the so-called “Unity” platform wreak of anti-American job opportunities, but Biden also plans to push middle-class Americans out of the stock market and cut off 401(k) and college fund growth opportunities.
“It’s way past time to put the end to the era of shareholder capitalism. The idea the only responsibility a corporation has is its shareholders — that is simply not true, it’s an absolute farce,” Biden reportedly said.
Calling it “shareholder capitalism” may be a slick way to throw mud at large corporations. But everyday Americans invest their money into company stocks to position themselves for retirement and put their children through college.
Biden has repackaged his policies that traditionally hurt working families by reducing opportunity, raising taxes, and sending tax dollars overseas. Americans have seen this movie before. This sequel would have the same bad ending as his last movie. Biden is simply not worth the cost of admission.
