Finally a Republican who is willing to stick his neck out for the people! Voters have gotten so used to limp wristed Republicans that crumble easily, we barely recognize what real leadership is anymore!
On Tuesday, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order to protect Floridians from the dangerous impact of President Biden’s border crisis.
Executive Order 21-223 prohibits all Florida agencies from “facilitating illegal immigration into Florida, unless otherwise required by federal or state law, and require the collection of information from state officials on the scope and costs of illegal immigration in Florida.”
It’s moves like this, to protect his residents, that has many voters calling for DeSantis to get the Republican nomination for President in 2024, or to be President Trump’s new VP is he decides to run again.
“Since President Biden took office – which has been less than one year – the Border Patrol has released nearly a quarter million illegal aliens into the United States,” Governor DeSantis said in a statement.
“This executive order makes it clear that Florida resources will not be used to prop up the failed open border agenda enacted by this administration.”
The order also appointed Larry Keefe, former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, as public safety czar to ensure the actions in the executive order are implemented.
“Attorney General Ashley Moody has also filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration challenging its policy of catching and releasing the staggering number of illegal aliens apprehended at the border into the United States,” DeSantis said.
The state attorney general addressed the need for the executive order due to the Biden administration’s “brazen disregard” for immigration laws.
“The Biden Administration’s brazen disregard for federal immigration law is jeopardizing the safety and security of our state and nation, all while costing Florida taxpayers,” Moody said in the statement.
“Biden’s lax border policy is an open invitation to dangerous criminals, human traffickers and drugs traffickers to enter the United States — creating a crisis at the Southern Border like we have never seen.”
Keefe noted the state of Florida has often been impacted more directly during times of increased illegal immigration.
“As a former U.S. Attorney, I saw illegal aliens that would get deported and come back, and then get deported and come back in an endless cycle,” Keefe said in the statement.
“The states, including Florida, bear the brunt of this cycle. Over the coming weeks and months, our state agencies will be addressing the impacts illegal immigration has had on our state. I want to thank Governor DeSantis for appointing me to lead these efforts.”
The policy is a helpful one, and an action other states should follow. Governors can’t change federal laws, but they have the power to protect their residents and enact orders to curb bad federal policy.
DeSantis and Florida state leaders appear ready to resist the horrendous Biden open border agenda and do their part to stop it. In addition to the new order, Florida has served as one of several states to send National Guard troops to the Texas border to help.
It seems like every day, conservative states are being forced to take on more of the federal government’s role while Biden and friends expand government in directions the founders of our nation never intended. But until the next election, there’s no need to sit around and do nothing.
Every state has the option to limit the damage of the Biden agenda. Florida is working where it can, while others are as well. If real Americans unite, we can help keep the nation together long enough to bring new leadership to Washington.

The “Republicans” have never been in this fight. NEVER. They make flowery speeches then run back to their dark little safe space to cower in fear while Democrats violate federal after federal law and utterly ignore the Constitution.
DeSantis can make all the noise he wants to but In truth, both the Democrat Party and the GOP ignore him. How long will it be before the New Wokey US military marches into Florida to enforce the New Immigration policies? “Hup, two, three four! Help the illegals through the door!”.

My personal belief is that, the opposition is NOW forming and will continue to grow until we can regain control of OUR government next year. In the interim governors like De Santis and Noam will slow the agenda of the Mr. Biden communist takeover efforts. MAGA and VOTE!!!!
DeSantis is a hero! Like President Donald Trump, he forges forward to do what’s right. I wish NM had a governor who was not in lock step with Trader Joe and the Marxist agenda. We’re still be held hostage here and our civil rights have NOT been reinstated. I’m betting Gov. Wuhan-Grisham will not require face masks at her up-&-coming wedding!
