One of the really fun aspects of living in the Trump era in America is picking off all of the dead weight in the Republican Party. One by one, we’re thinning the ranks of the Surrender First, America Last remnants of the GOP – the guys and gals who will never fight for the American people, because they’d rather be invited to the fancy cocktail parties in Manhattan than actually do their jobs.
The sellouts, the RINOs, the Jeff Flakes and the Romneys of the party all know their days are numbered, because we are now woke to their scam. And let’s be honest: We’re all really excited by the fact that Liz Cheney is about to get the tar-and-feathers treatment, right?
Question: Was Wyoming’s lone congresswoman always this much of a cow, and we just didn’t notice before? Or did Liz Cheney suddenly blossom into a foaming-at-the-mouth Never Trumper after January 6th?
The writing is on the wall and it looks like Cheney is about to be booted out of her leadership position in the House GOP. She’s been an absolute catastrophe for her own party ever since the peaceful January 6 protests. Even GOP minority leader Kevin McCarthy is fed up with her antics – and the fact that she voted to impeach Donald Trump for “inciting insurrection.”
In order to fight back against the “Insurrection Against Liz Cheney,” Liz Cheney has chosen to take her anti-Trump message to as many conservatives as possible by publishing an op-ed in Jeff Bezos’ left-wing personal blog, The Washington Post.
Because there’s no place in America where more conservatives are paying rapt attention than The Washington Post!
LOL, as the kids say.
Cheney used her star appearance in The Washington Post to declare herself to be a true “conservative Republican.” You know, like John Boehner, George W. Bush and Colin Powell – the sort of True Conservatives of Conservatism™ who cannot even manage to conserve little girls’ bathrooms, let alone the country. The types of conservatives who never win and never even fight, lest they get their nails dirty by turning the communist left’s own tactics against them.
I always try to read these snitty RINO missives whenever they’re published, because there’s usually a reward in the form of a major confession. Sure, you have to wade through several paragraphs of how awful all of us Jesus and gun people are from the True Conservatives of Conservatism, and plenty of “Yuck! Trump?! Amiright?” declarations. But they can’t help themselves in giving away something critically important, and Liz Cheney didn’t disappoint.
Here’s what she actually wrote in The Washington Post:
Donald Trump is on a “crusade to delegitimize and undo the legal outcome of the 2020 election.” She adds that if Trump is successful, it would “do profound long-term damage to our party and our country.”
That’s a pretty amazing confession. Cheney is admitting the biggest fear of the liberal left right now. And let’s just cut to the chase: Cheney would know the left’s biggest fear, because she is every bit as much of a committed leftist as Maxine Waters or Adam Schiff.
She’s admitting that Donald Trump could still “undo” the outcome of the 2020 election, even at this late date. That’s worth pondering for a moment. Thanks for that insight, Liz Cheney!
She doesn’t elaborate, however, on exactly how it would harm the Republican Party or our country if Donald Trump does successfully undo the fake 2020 election. What harm could it do to the GOP if they didn’t lay down and accept a fraudulent result? What harm could it do to our country if a national embarrassment was overturned?
“Oh, no! We’re not the laughing stock of democracies anymore!”
There are two more big reasons why Cheney is about to be handed her walking papers. As one of the party leaders, she’s supposed to be staying on message for the 2022 elections. Cheney is instead constantly at odds with other Republicans (which is why she’s the new darling of CNN and MSNBC).
Another duty she has as a party leader is to raise money for the party. The Cheney name is supposed to carry a lot of clout when it comes to fundraising. But she’s tarnished her own brand that Cheney’s fundraising efforts have collapsed. If Liz Cheney called you personally tomorrow to ask for a donation to the GOP, would you sprain your ankle running to get your checkbook? Me neither.
Look for a vote to oust her from the party leadership sometime in the next two weeks. Good riddance.
