Russia Origins Probe Arrest Leaves Adam Schiff Reputation in Shambles

California Rep. Adam Schiff was recently exposed as a lying, deceitful, political hack when a former Trump administration official destroyed his credibility on national television.

Following the arrest of Igor Danchenko for lying to the FBI about the Steele Dossier funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, the Democrat Congressman appeared on the notoriously liberal-friendly talk show The View. What Schiff could not have anticipated was that Morgan Ortagus, who served in the State Department during the Trump Administration, would hit him with both barrels.

Ortagus took Schiff to task over outlandish behavior that included reading the phony Steele Dossiers into the congressional record and repeating Russia collusion hoaxes more than a year after they were debunked by the FBI.  Although the biased media outlets acted as his enablers, Schiff found himself backed into a fact-based corner on The View of all places.

“You defended, promoted and even read into the congressional record the Steele dossier. We know last week the main source of the dossier was indicted by the FBI for lying about most of the key claims in that dossier. Do you have any reflections on your role in promoting this to the American people,” Ortagus reportedly asked Schiff?

In classic political double-talk, Schiff pathetically tried to divert the focus to more phony allegations against former President Donald Trump. Ortagus refused to let him squirm away.

“You may have helped spread Russian disinformation yourself for years by promoting this. I think that’s what Republicans and what people who entrusted you as the intel committee chair are so confused about your culpability in all this,” Ortagus said.

What happens next may have been accepted by the establishment media as a viable excuse. But informed Americans who watched Schiff sling mud and spread lies may recall statements that directly contradict his response.

“I completely disagree with your premise. It’s one thing to say allegations should be investigated, and they were. It’s another to say that we should have foreseen in advance that some people were lying to Christopher Steele, which is impossible, of course, to do,” Schiff reportedly said.

But that’s not what Schiff had to say during the Russia Witch Hunt that he helped needlessly put the country through. It was Adam Schiff who went on live television and was routinely quoted by the fake news media as having a smoking gun that proved the former president colluded with Russia. What can now only reasonably be considered bald-faced lies, Schiff went on the record repeatedly stating falsehoods such as the following.

“The Russians offered help, the campaign accepted help. The Russians gave help and the President made full use of that help.” ~ CNN 2017.

Adding insult to injury, Schiff continues to mislead Americans about his role in attacking the former president and tearing at the country’s very fabric. He stated emphatically during the witch hunt that he, personally, possessed evidence proving the allegations in the Steel Dossier that former Pres. Trump was in cahoots with Russia. Nothing could be further from the truth.

By the end of the public drubbing he took on The View, Ortagus exposed him as a bottom-feeder and left his reputation in shambles.

“No. I think just your credibility is (diminished),” Ortagus shot back at Schiff.

If Schiff wasn’t part of the Washington, D.C., political elite, he’d be standing right next to Igor Danchenko in handcuffs.
