Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry just pulled off the impossible in the race for governor in that state. Louisiana normally has an open primary, which they did just last week. After that, the top two candidates would advance to the general election in November.
That won’t happen this time, because Landry managed to get a majority 52%-win last week, which is pretty much a landslide. (Landry-slide?) He’ll be the new governor and has flipped the governorship of the state from blue to red for the first time in 8 years. How’d that happen?
Many are crediting Donald Trump’s endorsement of Landry, and yes, that’s part of the equation. We all know how valuable Trump’s endorsement can be in an election these days. But there’s one more person that played a huge role in Landry’s victory: Scott Presler.
The final vote tally for Landry last week was 52%. The Democrat candidate, Shawn Wilson, won 26%. The two additional closest Republicans in the open primary won only 6% and 5% each. Louisiana’s open primary is unique in all of America. In every previous open primary, no one has ever gotten above 50% for an outright win—until now. The two leading candidates always score in the 30 to 40% range each, and then they advance to the general election in November.
What’s that have to do with Scott Presler?
Presler is the guy who did a ton of get-out-the-vote work on behalf of Landry last year in Louisiana. Unlike the RNC, which was too busy paying for a new set of Botox duck-lips for Ronna McDaniel Romney.
You’re probably at least vaguely familiar with Scott Presler by now. A few years ago, he organized volunteers to travel to Baltimore. They cleaned up 12 tons of trash on the streets in just 12 hours. He pulled this “stunt” to illustrate how Republicans are better at keeping their towns and cities cleaner, because we actually care.
Since the 2020 election was stolen, Presler has been applying the same volunteerism to getting Republicans registered to vote and encouraging them to get out and vote in elections. And they’re doing just that, as Jeff Landry’s runaway victory last week proved.
Republican voters are terrible at voting in primary elections, when it can matter the most at the local and state level. We just are. I’m including myself in that equation. We suck at this, and we get the government we deserve through our own inaction. A lot of mayoral races have scandalously low turnout. Democrats rely on this, and then we end up with Democrat mayors wrecking cities all across America.
In Bridgeport, Connecticut—the largest city in that state—they had just 8,371 votes cast in the mayoral election last month. The city has more than 180,000 people living there. Republicans couldn’t come up with 8,372 votes? Lazy, lazy, lazy. In many cities, if just 10 or 15 percent of Republican voters would get off their butts on election day, we wouldn’t have nearly as many Democrat mayors, sheriffs, or frankly, Members of Congress.
That’s what Scott Presler just did in Louisiana. He’s running get-out-the-vote efforts in Pennsylvania right now. He has a list of new movers—Republican voters who just moved to Pennsylvania recently—and he’s getting them to register in time for the November election there. Pennsylvania has a huge Supreme Court race on November 7th. Conservative Justice Carolyn Carluccio is running for office against a Soros leftist.
If Republicans sit on their rear-ends in Pennsylvania in three weeks, they will have a left-wing Supreme Court in that state until the year 2035. Since Pennsylvania implemented automatic voter registration two weeks ago, Republicans have gained 2,494 new registered voters, compared to the Democrats gaining only 217 new voters. That’s a 2,277 net loss for Democrats, assuming they all get out and vote.
Presler also has a group of volunteers writing letters to the list of new movers, urging them to get registered and vote. He estimates that they’ll have sent 3,000 handwritten letters to new movers in the next couple of days, which is still time for them to get registered and vote on November 7th.
Presler is doing this for virtually every election in the country between now and next year—and it’s working! Can you volunteer to send five letters to unregistered GOP voters? Just take the time to write five letters to people. That’s all it takes. Presler’s efforts just propelled Jeff Landry to a historic victory, and they did something that everyone thought was impossible.
It’s not impossible. You can volunteer to help at Scott Presler’s PAC HERE.
I have been telling people for days now republicans are lazy, look what they are doing with the speaker which should have been don on the first day. Instead of going for someone who will tell it like it is they waste their time trying for one who is sick and would leave the post most of the time because of his health needing attention then they go after one who would rather sit in the closet rather then be seen, being seen and getting his voice heard. there is only one man for this job and he has proven himself time after time and he knows how to get the word out and is not afraid to say the truth. that man is Jim Jordan. Now you republicans get busy and make him the SPEAKER and move on to what needs to be done. Like change where the next debate will be held, NBC are you kidding someone needs her brain checked. Hey Rona did you smoke to much pot when you made that move, I thought you were smarter then that.
They can but do enough have the intelligence to comprehend the damage being done by the left to this country. Manya re only looking at what freebies they can get.
