Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has been one of the most vocal and articulate defenders of the America First movement ever since he was first elected. He’s also an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump and his agenda for the USA. When salacious accusations against Gaetz came out earlier this year, I immediately called it fake news.
Gaetz explained on Tucker Carlson Tonight that the accusations were a smear campaign that was part of a broader conspiracy to extort money from his family. Well, lookie here! All these months later, there are still no charges filed against Matt Gaetz. But the feds have begun rounding up a group of shady figures who are accused of… trying to extort money from the Gaetz family. Told you so!
The New York Times wrote a salacious, fact-deficient article back in March that accused Rep. Matt Gaetz of being a child sex trafficker. No one from the Department of Justice or the FBI has ever corroborated that. Gaetz has maintained his innocence all along.
It’s always projection with these people – have you noticed that?
The political party that accused Donald Trump of “treason” over a phone call just committed literal treason by arming the Taliban with $80 to $90 billion worth of sophisticated American military equipment. The political party that accuses Trump supporters of racism just imposed vaccine passports in New York City, which has banned approximately 75% of black Americans from eating at a restaurant or shopping at Target. And the political party that hangs out with guys like Jeffrey Epstein and the Clintons now accuses Matt Gaetz of being a child sex trafficker. It never ends.
Matt Gaetz’s father – a former Florida senate president and successful businessman – was wearing a wire for federal investigators in order to rope in the alleged extortionists. Someone in the Department of Justice tipped off the extortionists, so they called the New York Times and fed them the bogus story about Gaetz being “under investigation” for child sex trafficking.
It was like turning Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) loose on the pie section at an all-you-can-eat buffet. It was irresistible to the mainstream media. Even conservative media outlets suddenly shunned Gaetz. No one wanted to be associated with an accused child sex trafficker. It’s not like we’re the Democrat Party over here.
There was just one little problem with the story. It was false. Matt Gaetz and his family really were being extorted for money.
Florida businessman Stephen Alford has been arrested this week on charges of wire fraud and “the attempted prevention of seizure of an electronic device.” The US Attorney’s office in Florida says Alford faces 25 years in prison if convicted.
Alford is just the first member of a larger group that was part of the extortion scheme. They were attempting to extort $25 million from the Gaetz family. Another person named as part of the extortion scheme by Gaetz is a Pensacola attorney named David McGee.
As evidence, Don Gaetz wore a wire while discussing an initial down payment of $5.4 million to the group of extortionists. Notice that the Department of Justice actually has EVIDENCE that a crime was committed against the Gaetz family, while the New York Times has presented no evidence at all that Matt Gaetz is under investigation for sex trafficking.
When Hollywood mogul and Clinton donor pal Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual harassment and rape, more than a hundred prominent women came forward to pile on the accusations against him. When former Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York was accused of sexual harassment, dozens of women came forward and none of them had anything nice to say about the guy. Women disliked Cuomo so much that one of his accusers claimed that Cuomo “made eye contact” with her while flirting with her.
After five months, not a single woman has come forward to accuse Matt Gaetz of any type of harassment crime, let alone sex trafficking. And it’s not like the media hasn’t been trying. Reporters have been calling every woman who ever worked with Matt Gaetz or dated him. They all say the same thing: He’s one of the kindest and most decent men they’ve ever met.
When is Matt Gaetz going to get his reputation back? When is he even going to get an apology from the people who smeared him?
Oh, and one more question: When is Stormy Daniels going to be arrested for extorting a presidential candidate? (Asking for a friend.)
