As the war for America’s southern border wages on, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has secured an epic new deal that will counter the Democrats’ destructive open border policy.
Abbott announced that he’s reached an agreement directly with the governor of the Mexican state of Nuevo León to secure a portion of the Texas-Mexico border.
“Governor Samuel García signed a memorandum of understanding between the State of Texas and the Free and Sovereign State of Nuevo León to enhance border security measures that will prevent illegal immigration from Mexico to Texas and improve the flow of traffic across the Colombia Solidarity International Bridge,” said a press release from Abbott’s office. “The agreement goes into effect immediately.”
During the announcement, Abbott also hammered President Joe Biden for opening the flood gates at our southern border by axing several key Trump-era border policies.
“Texans demand and deserve an aggressive, comprehensive border security strategy that will protect our communities from the dangerous consequences related to illegal immigration,” the Republican said.
“Until President Biden enforces the immigration laws passed by Congress, Texas will step up and use its own strategies to secure the border and negotiate with Mexico to seek solutions that will keep Texans safe.”
“This historic memorandum of understanding between Texas and Nuevo León is a major step in the Lone Star State’s efforts to secure the border in the federal government’s absence,” Abbott added.
Earlier in the week Abbott stated that Texans have stepped up big time to fill the void left by the federal government.
“As the federal government continues to roll back commonsense policies that once kept our communities safe, our local law enforcement has stepped up to protect Texans from dangerous criminals, deadly drugs, and illegal contraband flooding into the Lone Star State. Texas will always be a law-and-order state, and I thank our law enforcement officers who have answered the call to protect and serve their fellow Texans in the federal government’s absence in securing our border.”
The press release went on to note that “governors from Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Chihuahua, as well as the Chief Officer for the North American Unit at the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, have been in contact with the Office of the Governor and the Texas Secretary of State about signing similar memorandums.”
The governor also approved “Arresting and jailing illegal migrants trespassing or committing other state crimes in Texas.” Abbott has additionally “Allocated resources that include recently acquired 1,700 steel panels to building the border wall in Texas.”
This critical agreement reached between Texas and Nuevo Leon comes as Abbott has begun shipping illegal immigrants directly to Washington D.C. to make the Democrats acknowledge the crisis, in what the Democrats have referred to as a publicity stunt.

AZ is fighting back as well, but to what avail? NM and CA are wide open and intend to stay that way.
I like Gov Abbott but he needs to send those busloads of illegals back into Mexico and to their own countries from there. Sending them to D.C. i.e. just exacerbates the situation here in the USA already as once they arrive in D.C. they’re then free to disperse to other states.

Illegal migrants need to be sent back to their Country of origin to get in line at the nearest US Consulate or Embassy to apply to migrate! Jumping the immigration line, breaking the law should never be rewarded with residency and certainly not citizenship! Where there are no consequences for crime, crime increases! Just look at the rise in crime in this Country, weak on crime gets more crime! The executive branch needs to be held accountable for not enforcing laws they took an oath to enforce! The executive branch should not be allowed to negate laws passed by Congress! There needs to be consequences for these officials not doing their duty!
